Now, it is time to talk about the lesser-known Pataudi Khandaan member, Saba Ali Khan. Despite being born to a family with some of the finest actors of B-Town, Saif Ali Khan’s little sister chose to stay away from Bollywood and is a successful jewellery designer. Saba was born in Mumbai in 1976, but the Pataudis moved to Delhi when she was young. The jewellery designer consciously decided to stay away from all the stardom, and probably this is the reason not many people know about this gem of Pataudi clan. A lot of people feel that star kids do not have to worry about things and they can easily opt for acting. Defying the idea, Saba had completed her graduation from Delhi College of Arts. As she wanted to be jewellery designer, this little sister of Saif Ali Khan went for a Diploma in Gemology and Design, at the Gemological Institute of America.
Saba is a famous jewellery designer and loves to work on fusion jewellery pieces. She has her own diamond range, which is doing well. She has also designed jewellery for her sister-in-law, Kareena Kapoor Khan, as her elder brother Saif Ali Khan had requested her to design a sparkling, new piece for his then-girlfriend and now-wife, Kareena.
While brother, Saif Ali Khan and sister, Soha Ali Khan live a blissful married life with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kunal Kemmu respectively, Saba, who is 44 years old, chose not to marry, defying another norm of marriage being the sole purpose of a girl’s life. She is independent and doing great in her personal and professional life.
After the death of her father, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi in 2011, Saba was named as the custodian of the royal trust of Bhopal. She, as mutawalli of Aukaf-e-Shahi Trust, takes care of the properties in Bhopal and Saudi Arabia, worth Rs. 1000 crore. While Saif took the Nawab of Pataudi title after their father’s death, Saba chose to be the Chief Trustee of the Bhopal Trust. She is the first woman in the country to be the head of Auqaf-e-Shahi since the end of the princely era. Other than this, she also looks after her mother’s Rs. 2700 crore worth property.

Saba shares a great bond with everyone in the family. She stays close to her siblings, Saif Ali Khan and Soha Ali Khan, and is often spotted attending family functions only. She is a family person and avoids attending social gatherings. One can always spot her in the family pictures. Being a movie buff, she never misses any movie that stars her family members.
She values her traditions very much and ardently follows it. Ever since her childhood, she has been surrounded by clothes with traditional embroideries, which inspired her into the designing business.
From being close to her family to building a successful career of her own, and handling family traditions, Saba Ali Khan is a true example of what a strong and independent woman looks like.
