Saanvie and Karan were a part of the show, Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum, and she recently revealed her experience of working with the actor and revisited the famous slapgate controversy involving them.
In a recent interview with India Forums, Saanvie levied serious allegations against Karan Kundra regarding a controversy that dated back ten years. For the unversed, during the shooting of an intimate scene, Karan had to kiss Saanvie, and she had to slap him back, but the slap was so hard that Karan got furious and slapped the actress back.
In her recent conversation, Saanvie opened up about the same and also revealed that Karan Kundrra was interested in her, but she wasn’t. In the interview, Saanvie revealed how she didn’t speak about the issue in all these years as she never felt the urge to speak about it. Revealing why she decided to address the matter after all these years, Saanvie said:
“Logon ne apne apne perceptions bana liye. Logon ne mere baare mein bahut galat socha hai. To isliye mai chahti hoon ki once and for all ye baatein clear kar di jaaye that he was interested in me, I wasn’t.”
When Karan Kundrra slapped Saanvie and abused her, she was left in shock, but what was more disappointing for her was the fact that no one stopped him. As per Saanvie, people came to pacify her, but no action was taken against him. The incident left a lasting impression on Saanvie for many years.
After Karan Kundrra slapped Saanvie, the impact was so hard that she fell on the floor. On top of it, the crew started approaching other girls for my role. Saanvie was mentally disturbed at that time since he not just slapped her but also hurled abuses at her family. Karan was dating Anusha Dandekar at that time, and Saanvie decided to tell her about the incident.
After she reported the matter to Anusha, things became bearable for Saanvie since she started visiting her boyfriend on the sets. Speaking about the same, Saanvie said:
"Aur Karan us time Anusha Dandekar ko date kar rahe the. Toh maine Anusha tak ye baat pahuchayi ki aap please thoda dhyan de kyuki main bilkul interested nahi hu. Jo ho raha hai mujhe nahi lag raha ki wo sahi ho raha hai. Anusha then started visiting sets and started monitoring things on her own."
Talking about Saanvie’s professional journey, she began her acting journey in 2012 with the television show Arjun. A trained theatre artist from the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in the United States, Saanvie was seen in shows like Ishq Kills, O Gujariya, Qubool Hai, Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum, Ali Baba, Shiv Shakti and many others. Apart from this, she has also penned episodes of projects like Fear Files: Darr Ki Sacchi Tasvirein, CID and SuperCops vs SuperVillains.
