"A woman has accused Cape Verde captain Ryan Mendes of rape and physical assault, alleging the incident happened in March during a team tour in New Zealand. She claims he forced entry into her hotel room and assaulted her, and says she has medical and forensic evidence supporting her account."
The tweet further read that the case against Ryan Mendes has reportedly been under investigation by the New Zealand Police since April 2026.
