The mention is of none other than the very talented, Ranveer Singh. It was on November 14-15, 2018, that he was pronounced as a mister to his long-time ladylove, Deepika Padukone. The couple had two grand weddings, one as per Konkani rituals and the other one according to the Punjabi-Sindhi customs.
There is no denying the fact that Ranveer Singh has been reigning the silver screen with his commendable performances in movies such as, Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat, Simmba, Gully Boy and many more. Yesterday, on March 19, 2019, it was a starry night as Zee Cine Award took place. So, for the same, Ranveer won the Zee Cine award best actor (male) for the role of Alauddin Khilji in Padmavat. The ever-so-excited Ranveer couldn’t control his happiness as soon as he heard his name announced for the winner. Instantly, Ranveer jumps and in exuberance, hugs wifey Deepika Padukone who was sitting right next to him. He not only hugged Deepika, but he also gave a big hug to Ranbir Kapoor who was sitting on the other side of Deepika with his girlfriend, Alia Bhatt. In a recent interaction with Filmfare magazine editor, Jitesh Pillai, for Famously Filmfare, Ranveer was asked if he ever thought he would lose Deepika. To this, the Simmba actor replied, "No, I never had such a thought, of course, there are ups and downs, but I had made up my mind that she was the one, she is the only one whom I wanted to marry, so I was prepared to go through anything." On changing their names post-marriage, Deepika had told the Hindustan Times, "So, we haven't been like 'oh so do you think you need to change your surname?' That (chat about it in an interview) was, of course, a joke of sorts. It has never crossed either of our minds. When I was asked, I was like 'oh, we haven't even thought about it.' Maybe, because it's not important. Also, I've worked extremely hard to create my identity and so has he. So, my question is, 'why would he have to do that?' I think what people see of us is a very minuscule part of our entire being and existence. But at the core of it, we are very alike."
Revealing the most exciting part of their wedding, Deepika had shared, "You know, we're together. Of course, he's working, I'm working. But the fact that we just wake up to each other, I think that's the most beautiful thing." Like always, praising his wifey, Deepika, Ranveer Singh once shared that she is a gharelu kind of a girl. The Aankh Maare star had shared, "She is so gharelu...I love it...I love it. I am telling you I am going to be the husband of the millennium. I am going to glide and breeze through it."
Earlier, talking to the Hindustan Times, Ranveer had stamped his marriage with Deepika as his 'biggest achievement', He had said, "Honestly, it’s an amazingly blessed time. I am really happy about everything but the best part of it all is that I’ve got married. You know, in spite of everything that has happened in my life, it’s the first time I feel that I have achieved something, ke maine life mein kuch kiya hai, kucch ukhada hai (laughs). It’s a really warm and wonderful feeling. I feel so grounded, secure and empowered. If feels as if I have a superpower now. With her on my side, I feel invincible and protected knowing that there’s someone who cares about me. Our relationship is really stronger and deeper than ever before."
