Ranbir Kapoor's uncle, Randhir Kapoor shared a cryptic statement about his wedding reports with his girlfriend, Alia Bhatt.
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt were initially rumoured to get married in 2020. However, the pandemic and Rishi Kapoor’s death had changed their plans. If the reports are to be believed, Ranbir and Alia are all set to tie the knot in December 2021. While it had all started with Alia’s crush confession on Koffee With Karan, with the couple making their relationship official at Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s reception, their fans cannot wait for their wedding anymore.
Well, according to various media reports, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are clearing their work schedule so that they can be free from November end to January start for their wedding. There are reports that Ranbir has pushed the shoot of his film, Animal, to January 2022, and Alia has wrapped up her assignments and will be only promoting her upcoming film, Gangubai Kathiawadi, slated to release in January 2022.

As soon as the reports of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s wedding broke, their fans are eagerly waiting for the Kapoor or the Bhatt family to release an official statement, announcing the same. Now, Ranbir’s uncle, Randhir Kapoor, opened up on the same and said that he hasn’t heard anything about their wedding. In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Randhir said:
“I don’t know, and I haven’t heard the news either. He will get married someday or the other, but I don’t have any news on this.”
Alia Bhatt's mother, Soni Razdan, had also reacted to the reports of her daughter’s wedding with Ranbir Kapoor. She had shared an exciting update about the same in an interview with Bollywood Life. When Soni was asked about the ongoing speculations, she had said that she doesn't know when the wedding will happen and is waiting to get some information on the same.

When quipped further to provide some information for Ranbir and Alia’s fans, Soni had stated:
"Well, there's a lot of time left. It'll happen some time in the future, and that's a long way off. Now, when it'll happen, I don't know. Maybe, you'll have to call Alia's agent for that (a jovial reference to the web series she's done), but even her agent might not know.”
Talking about their wedding reports, Deccan Chronicles had quoted its source saying that both Alia and Ranbir have kept themselves free for a few days from November until the first few days of January. Stating that the Kapoors will soon announce their wedding, the portal had reported:
“Ranbir has pushed the Animal shoot to 2022; besides, he has to Shamshera to promote, which releases in March 2022. The buzz is that the two are getting married in December, which is why they’ve kept their date diaries empty, just as Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma had done even as they denied about the wedding before going off to Italy to get married. Hopefully, there’ll be an official announcement, just as the Kapoors normally do.”
