'Baahubali' Star Rana Daggubati Back With His Ex-Girlfriend Trisha Krishnan? Details Inside

Rana Daggubati best known for his compelling performance as the main antagonist in SS Rajamouli’s film, Baahubali, made headlines with his appearance on the celebrity chat, Koffee With Karan. So, when Karan asked Rana about his past relationship with Trisha, the actor was quoted as saying, “She's been a friend of mine from a decade. We have been friends for very long and dated for a little time. But I guess, things didn't work out.” The two have been best of friends for over a decade but things changed when they took the next step and their relationship fell apart.

Now, the gossipmongers are spreading the rumours of the two being back as a couple. It all started with when Rana sent his wishes to Telugu movie stars, Arya and Sayyeshaa on their marriage announcement, the actor posted, “Machhhhaaa Congatulations!! For those who don’t know, rumours had it that it was because of Bong beauty, Bipasha Bashu that Rana and Trisha parted ways leaving their fans heartbroken. Talking about Bipasha, Rana once said in an interview, “She is a dear friend, a good friend and will remain so. That’s about it. There’s no romance, no dating, nothing.” And when he was further asked about her concern when he got injured, Rana was quoted as saying, “Why can’t a friend be concerned? Like I said, people just like linking us. So many people were concerned, and even if she checked on me, what’s wrong in it? That does not make her my girlfriend.” When he was further asked about taking the friendship to next level, he said, “Well, I already have a girlfriend, I’m seeing someone let’s not get into the whos and hows. I would like to keep mum about it right now. I don’t want speculations.”

In an interview with Bombay Times, Rana who is an exceptional actor talked about getting into films and the reason that persuaded him to enter the world, “My grandfather D Ramanaidu has been in the film business for over 50 years, so I grew up in films. My dad Suresh is a producer and my uncle Venkatesh (my dad’s younger brother) an actor. We run studios in Hyderabad called Ramanaidu Studios. I was born in Chennai as at that time, Telugu films were made there. I moved to Hyderabad when I was in Class I and joined the Hyderabad Public School and studied there till Class X. Films that my family made were edited at that time in our basement.” 

Rana, who is close to his grandfather, D Ramanaidu, talked about his impact on his life, “My grandfather. He won’t even feel like someone from another generation if you speak to him. He is very chilled-out and very professional and is way more advanced than my father. When I became an actor, he would say to me, ‘It does not matter whether you are good or bad or anything else.”

He further went on to say, “The only thing important is that you get to work.’ When I don’t shoot, I hang out with him in his room. He always says that I am just like him while he was growing up. He has produced 130 films across all languages. In 100 years of cinema, there is no one but us who lasted out for 50. So, for half the time that cinema was around, we were there.
