Rakhi Sawant gets arrested after Sherlyn Chopra's complaint against her for using the latter's objectionable video.
The controversial queen of Bollywood, Rakhi Sawant is hitting the headlines as she was arrested by the Amboli Police a while ago. Rakhi, who was supposed to launch her dance academy, was arrested on January 19, 2023, based on a Police complaint filed by actress, Sherlyn Chopra in 2022.
And it is none other than Sherlyn Chopra, who announced the breaking news on her Twitter handle. Sharing details of Rakhi’s arrest, Sherlyn tweeted:
“Amboli Police has arrested Rakhi Sawant in respect of FIR 883/2022. Yesterday, Rakhi Sawant's ABA 1870/2022 was rejected by the Mumbai session court."

As per the Mumbai Police, an FIR was registered against Rakhi Sawant under various sections. The FIR also stated that Rakhi showed an objectionable video of Sherlyn to the press and also used abusive language for her. It has been learnt that soon Rakhi will be presented before the Andheri court.
Earlier, in a conversation with the media, Sherlyn Chopra opened up about Rakhi Sawant and asked her not to get involved in Sajid Khan's controversy. In her statement, Sherlyn claimed that Rakhi organises private events in luxury hotels and also hires boyfriends and husbands on a subscription basis. This created a war of words between the two actresses.

Rakhi has been facing a lot of controversies off lately. The actress recently uploaded pictures of her court marriage with her boyfriend, Adil Khan Durrani. However, Adil denied their wedding, leaving Rakhi shattered. However, after a video of Rakhi, crying inconsolably went viral, Adil accepted their wedding and announced the same on social media.
On January 18, 2023, famous media photographer, Viral Bhayani took to his IG handle and shared that he had a telephonic conversation with Rakhi Sawant. Penning a long note, Viral revealed that Rakhi was pregnant with Adil’s child and had a miscarriage. He also added that Rakhi has been undergoing a lot in her personal life. For the unversed, Rakhi’s er mother is also detected with a brain tumour.
