Parineeti Chopra's husband, Raghav Chadha, faced a significant breaking point as the AAP dropped him from the Rajya Sabha's deputy leader.
Raghav Chadha, who was once hailed as the youngest Rajya Sabha member, has been going through the lowest phase. It all started after the Aam Aadmi Party removed him as its deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha. A post he has been on since 2023. As per ongoing reports, he has been replaced by Punjab's MP Ashok Mittal.
As per reports, a formal communication has been sent to the Rajya Sabha secretariat about the change, as per sources. The letters also stated that Chadha should not be allotted time to speak in the Parliament. The recent development raised the concerns about the rift in the party. Raghav Chadha was born on November 11, 1988, in New Delhi. He is the young face of Indian politics. He has been leading the headlines for the topics he has raised during Rajya Sabha sessions, from paternity leave to menstrual problems, and women's state. Raghav Chadha was brought up in Delhi, and he completed his schooling at Modern School. Later, he pursued higher education at the University of Delhi.
Raghav Chadha later pursued his career as a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. After this, he pursued further education abroad and attended the London School of Economics, which helped him gain international exposure. He worked with leading multinational firms such as Deloitte and Grant Thornton. His CA journey gave him the stability he needed in life. In fact, he wanted to make a career in politics. His mother took a promise from him that he won't let his CA profession take a backseat. He will use it to earn money and not rely on politics.
Raghav Chadha had no political backing. He was born and brought up in a simple family. He chose to leave his corporate background to enter public life. It was in 2013, Raghav Chadha joined the Aam Aadmi Party during the early years of the party's formation. He soon made a place for himself due to his communication skills and expertise in financial matters.
Raghav was hailed as AAP's youngest national spokesperson. He even helped the party win significant elections. He played a key role during the campaigns and associated himself with AAP's anti-corruption movement. And built a clean, educated image of a politician. It is worth mentioning that Raghav Chadha has stood up for the guy who was batting for the rights of gig workers.
Raghav even requested a ban on the 10-minute delivery model. Not only this, he had even spent a day as a Blinkit delivery executive to help the world know about the ordeal a delivery person faces on a daily basis. Recently, Raghav was in the headlines as he demanded that paid paternity leave be made a legal right in India. Apart from this, Raghav also raises consumer rights issues and even asked for a 20-day telecom tariff plan.
Raghav Chadha got married to Parineeti Chopra in September 2023. Parineeti and Raghav announced the former's pregnancy in August 2025. They took to their Instagram handle and dropped a collaborative post featuring a cake decorated with the equation '1+1=3', followed by tiny footprints. It meant the family was all set for the nesting season, ready to welcome their baby. It was followed by a video of pregnant Parineeti walking in the park, holding Raghav Chadha's hand.
