Tujh Sang Preet Lagai Sajna fame, Puja Banerjee had swooned us with her lehenga when she had gotten engaged to her co-star from the same show, Kunal Verma in 2017. Puja and Kunal had met on the sets of the show and after dating for 9 years, they had gotten engaged in a grand ceremony. Puja Banerjee had roped in the renowned designer, Rohit K Verma for her engagement ensemble and we must say, he did an amazing work. Rohit had designed an oozing ensemble for Puja, which was a multi-coloured blue and red lehenga with a plain blue choli and a pink net dupatta. A mix of vibrant colours and intricate embroidery, Puja’s engagement lehenga was surely an eye-catcher for everyone. Puja had complemented her look with royal ethnic jewellery by Minawala, a renowned jewellery establishment, which perfectly blended with her Rajasthani-themed ensemble. Her engagement set was crafted with 24K gold, uncut diamonds, emeralds, rubies and pearls. She had adorned an elegant maang teeka and emerald cocktail ring. Puja had also worn a satlada, which is a layered piece of jewellery, setting a major trend for the bride-to-be!

Announcing the same on International Women's Day, Puja shared, “Big news on this women's day I want to share this with all of you @kunalrverma you complete me I have been a daughter, a sister, a friend, a girlfriend and now finally going to be a wife. It’s time to be together forever so are finally getting married. Need all of your best wishes.” Amidst the congratulatory messages that flooded her post, her fiancé, Kunal commented, “Let’s do this.” Through her Instagram stories, Puja also gave a glimpse of her ‘bride tribe’.
In a 2017 interview, Kunal Verma had expressed his feelings on being ‘just engaged’ to the love of his life, Puja Banerjee. Revealing how their relationship had become deeper with the engagement, Kunal had remarked, “Finally, I am engaged. I am actually feeling irritated seeing my ring finger as I am not used to wearing solitaire. It is hurting my hand, have already got two-three scratches. I asked Puja to get its edge smoothen because I am not used to it. I even asked her if I can take this thing out but she was like no no...then I asked my mom, she told me to wear it in front of Puja and then remove it (laughs). This is the only difference I see, otherwise, everything is same. We are still the same but it is just that the relationship becomes a bit deeper. In an interview with the Indian Express, Puja Banerjee had revealed how her small intimate roka ceremony changed into a grand engagement bash. She was quoted as saying, “We are getting engaged after nine years of being together. We will decide our wedding date on the day of engagement only. It was supposed to be a Roka but after we prepared the guest list it, Kunal thought that let’s turn it into a proper engagement ceremony since the marriage will be a private affair. We won’t be inviting many people then and it will only be a family affair. So, we decided to celebrate one function with everyone.” Speaking about the ups and downs in their journey, Puja had continued, “Every relationship goes through ups and downs and even we experienced a hard time. But I think the relationship grows stronger after it goes through a bad phase.”
