However, another source close to the couple revealed that their issues were not related to the baby and there was a sign of imcompatibility before their daughter, Scottie's birth. Elsie made unusual move on social media as he shared an Instagram story on May 15, 2026, asking for help to find an assistant, mother's helper, nanny type, basically a right hand person. Followed by it, she posted a TikTok video, where she was seen saying that she had a baby to take care of, and she whispered in the video that she had to work and make money, as she is doing it on her own which is hard. However, an insider earlier revealed that Pete's main priority is making sure Elsie and Scottie are looked after.
And it was confusing for those who have known the couple that why Elsie was posting stuff like Pete not supporting him. However, not many know that for Pete being a father has been a dream for him as he had lost his father in 9/11. He was a New York City firefighter, and his name was Scott Davidson, and his daughter's name has been inspired by him 'Scottie.'
Amid reports claiming that Elsie and Pete have parted ways, the former took to her Instagram handle and shared a note. Elsie is busy taking care of her young daughter and navigating the needs of an infant, and adjusting to their life is tiresome for every new mother. On May 14, 2026, Elsie took to her Instagram handle and posted an IG story. In the photo, she was putting her hand to her head, looking dismayed. Along with it, she penned a note on how difficult it is to put a screaming baby down for a nap and exhale while you sit to have a breath and realise you have not peed all day. She wrote:
"When u finally get screaming baby down for a nap and u exhale and sit with urself for a sec and realize u haven’t breathed for an hour or peed all day. The silence is deafening."
