Olivia Munn said that she also sent an email to John Mulaney. However, John never replied, and Olivia jokingly claimed that she could have possibly used the wrong email.
John Mulaney was previously married to multimedia artist, Annamarie Tendler. John filed for divorce from Annamarie in May 2021. In the same month, an insider for PEOPLE claimed that Mulaney and Olivia Munn were together. The duo was first seen together in June 2021 while they went out for lunch. A source stated that the pair was having a conversation during the date, and they were enjoying each other’s company.
John Mulaney first confirmed the news of Olivia Munn’s pregnancy while speaking on Late Night with Seth Meyers in 2021. John even shared the details of how he and Olivia started dating, adding that he was nervous when he was about to reveal the news to everyone. In November 2021, the pair had a son, Malcolm Hiep Mulaney. Olivia and John even shared glimpses of the baby on Instagram. The news was first revealed by PEOPLE in July 2024, stating that the marriage ceremony was organized at the residence of Olivia and John’s friend, whose identity remains unknown. The wedding featured only the duo’s son and a witness. The wedding news was confirmed around four months after Olivia disclosed in March 2024 that she had been battling breast cancer since 2023. While speaking to PEOPLE in April 2024, Olivia shared how John supported her after the diagnosis and said:
“I don’t think he had a moment on himself, between being an incredibly hands-on father and going to and from the hospital – taking Malcolm to the park, putting him to nap, driving to Cedars-Sinai, hanging out with me, going home, putting Malcolm to bed, coming back to me. And he did it all happily.”
Two months after the news of their marriage was revealed, Olivia Munn and John Mulaney had another child, Méi June Mulaney, through surrogacy. Olivia shared the experience in an Instagram post, recalling the time when she met the surrogate. Olivia said that the woman displayed a lot of “grace and understanding,” and expressed gratitude to the woman for keeping the baby safe for nine months. Olivia also revealed the meaning of her child’s name, saying that it refers to plum in Chinese.
