'O'Romeo' has finally hit the theatres and fans can't stop talking about it. Amid that, read on to know how the action thriller ends.
O’Romeo, starring Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri in lead, finally hit the theatres on February 13, 2026. The film, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj is said to be a modern-day adaptation of the iconic story, Romeo and Juliet. It is worth mentioning that the movie is also inspired by real life people and incidents. Since O'Romeo is generating a lot of buzz on social media, read on to know how the film ends.
The much-awaited film, O'Romeo, opens in 1995 Mumbai. In the first few moments, viewers are introduced to 'Ustara' (played by Shahid Kapoor), a small-time gan***er known for using a sharp blade. He lives with his grandmother, played by Farida Jalal. Even though 'Ustara' is involved in crime, he follows his own rules. A senior cop, 'Khan' (essayed by Nana Patekar) also takes help from 'Ustara' about bigger gangs and D-Company links.
'Ustara' lives a normal, yet rough life until he crosses paths with 'Afshan' (played by Triptii Dimri). She is a young widow, who wants to take revenge from 'Jalal' (Avinash Tiwari). 'Jalal' had killed her husband, 'Mehboob'. She goes to 'Ustara' for help and he eventually agrees. As the film progresses, 'Afshan' tries to shoot 'Jalal's' men, but gets injured herself. 'Ustara' then takes her to his boat and nurses him. After she recovers, 'Ustara' trains her in shooting. However, his life changes when 'Afshan' randomly disappears one day.
For a few months, 'Ustara' tries his best to find 'Afshan'; however, he fails. Then one day, he discovers that she is living under a new identity, 'Rani Sharma' and is married to 'Inspector Pathare' (played by Rahul Deshpande). It is worth mentioning that 'Afshan' has not forgotten her revenge and continues to kill her enemies one-by-one, using a small needle.
During Ganesh Visarjan, when she kills another member of 'Jalal's' gang, 'Ustara' sees her and realises that getting married was just a part of her revenge. Later, 'Afshan', 'Khan' and 'Pathare' board a local train. 'Ustara' also joins them secretly as he senses that something wrong might happen. In the train, a violent fight happens, in which 'Khan' is heavily injured, 'Ustara' falls from the train and everybody assumes that he is dead. This scene can remind the audience of an iconic scene from Romeo and Juliet.
As the thriller film moves forward, 'Afshan' reaches Spain with her husband to attend 'Jalal's' party. At the party, 'Afshan' finds the right moment and stabs 'Jalal' with her needle. However, he doesn't die, rather 'Afshan's' plan is exposed and he captures her.
On the other hand, 'Ustara' is not dead. However, he loses his voice because of the incident. When he gets to know about 'Afshan', he soon rushes to Spain to help her. After reaching Spain, 'Jalal's wife, 'Rabia' (played by Tamannaah Bhatia) unexpectedly helps 'Ustara' and lets him inside the mansion.
As the film reaches its end, a massive fight breaks out, in which 'Ustara' and 'Jalal' come face-to-face. During their violent and intense battle, 'Jalal' almost kills 'Ustara', as he is bleeding a lot. Eventually things change as 'Ustara' ends up defeating 'Jalal'. However, he doesn't kill 'Jalal'. He lets 'Afshan' take her revenge and she stabs 'Jalal' with a sword. At the end 'Jalal' is dead.
While they have taken their revenge, 'Inspector Khan' is still in the hospital recovering. The film ends on a hopeful note as the last dialogue of 'Ustara' and 'Afshan' suggests that their story is not over and will return soon. If there is another film, viewers can expect 'Ustara' and 'Afshan' to live their life together full of danger.
