Add BollywoodShaadis on GoogleNovak Djokovic is all set for the Wimbledon 2026 semi-finals against Jannik Sinner. However, his biggest cheerleaders - i.e. his wife, Jelena Djokovic, and their son, Stefan- are making sure that he wins the match. For those who don't know, just like the undisputed king of tennis, his son also wants to follow in his footsteps.
Ahead of his biggest semi-final match at Wimbledon 2026, Novak Djokovic was spotted with his wife, Jelena and their son, Stefan, at a practice session. In one candid photo, Novak was seen hugging his wife, Jelena, after his practice, while his son, Stefan, looked out for them.
In another photo, Jelena was seen giving Novak a high-five, and it was the sweetest moment. In one of the photos, Stefan was holding a tennis racket and looked adorable. For the unversed, Novak and Jelena's first child, Stefan, wants to be like his father.
Regarding Stefan's choice of sport, he has demonstrated great athletic ability and has shown the world that he loves tennis, just like his legendary father. However, Novak has made it clear that he never forced his son to play tennis. It was his son's pure interest to step on the court, and he enjoys the sport. He said:
"I'm not forcing him to play tennis. I never did that, not a single day have I told him that he has to do this. It's really only his pure desire to step on the court. So if he wants to embark on this journey, I guess I have to embark with him too. He's doing well so far, he's really in love with the sport."
In fact, earlier, Novak was seen practising with his son at the 2022 Wimbledon Championships. Novak often gives technical advice to his son, Stefan, to improve his game. However, Novak shared that his son is following Rafael Nadal's forehand and often teases him by mimicking his rival's swing style.
For those who don't know, Novak Djokovic met his now-wife, Jelena, in an awkward situation. It all happened when he first heard about Jelena from his friend, who was dating her and thought of announcing his love after their team won a match. Novak revealed that his friend wore a jersey, and underneath he had worn a white T-shirt with, 'Jelena, I love you. This is for you," written on it.
For Novak, it was lame, but then he wanted to know who Jelena was that his friend was dating. He said:
"It was funny because the first time I heard about her was when that friend, who was in the same tennis club as me, played a match for the regional tennis league and we won an important match, he took off his jersey, and underneath the jersey he had the white shirt written, 'Jelena, I love you. This is for you,' And we were like, 'Oh my God, this is so lame. Why would you do that?' And then who is this Jelena? And it was her."
Novak also asserted that he never stole Jelena from his friends. In fact, they started dating when Jelena had broken up with her ex-boyfriend. As per Novak, she was the only true love of his life.
Novak Djokovic and Jelena had been in a long-distance relationship. And figuring out how to meet was a task as they would be on a tight budget. The couple started dating after five years of being friends. When they finally fell in love, life pulled them in different directions as Jelena was studying in Italy while Novak was chasing his tennis dream in Europe with no money in his wallet.
