Add BollywoodShaadis on GoogleA newlywed man went missing on September 8, 2026. Identified as Dominick Bianchi, he disappeared on a Tuesday morning. Tragically, he was later found dead. Now, his wife has reacted to the incident and revealed how her husband was going through a dark phase.
The search for the newlywed man came to a tragic end after his body was found in the woods. Dominick Bianchi, last seen at his home on Forrest Pointe Drive in East Greenbush a week before he went missing, has now made headlines. According to a newly released statement from the East Greenbush Police Department (EGPD), Bianchi married his wife, Julianna Zyra, just months before his death.
The report revealed that Dominick had diabetes and might have required medical attention. His family members shared that he had Type 1 diabetes and they were unsure if he had his insulin with him, as per local outlet NEWS10. Officials said the man didn't have his wallet or phone with him. Meanwhile, his wife, Julianna, told ABC affiliate WTEN:
"He has a continuous glucose monitor, which is paired to his phone that he doesn't have. There's a way to check his blood sugar without it, but I don't know if he has that equipment with him."
Julianna revealed that Dominick had been struggling with his mental health for a while and nobody knew about it. She shared how it was not fair and how she wished people would stop speculating about what happened to her late husband. She was quoted as saying:
"Nobody really knows about it. It's not fair. And I really wish people would stay off the internet, hypothesizing things that happened. He's very sick, and he's not in the right headspace."
In an emotional plea, Julianna urged her husband to come home. She said, "So many people care about you and want you to be OK." She had addressed his mental health and said that she knew he felt alone. However, people wanted to help him. After a days-long search for Dominick that included officials from the EGPD, New York State Police Aviation Unit, Department of Environmental Conservation, Rensselaer County Sheriff's Office, and other agencies, he was found dead.
In an update shared on Sunday, September 13, 2026, the EGPD announced that the man's body had been located in a wooded area. In a statement, they expressed their condolences and wished the family strength to navigate through this extremely difficult time. The department also thanked the public for assisting with their search efforts. Following the news of Dominick's death, the 35-year-old's father-in-law shared a statement with NEWS10. He was quoted as saying:
"Every family has its share of great joy and profound sadness. Four months ago, we experienced the joy of welcoming Dom into our family, and now we feel the intense pain of his loss. Dom was a husband, son, brother, nephew, and friend. He will be so missed by so many people."
Dominick's father-in-law also thanked the community for the help they offered during such a difficult time. He shared that although they had recently joined the community, people came out to help him and his family, leaving food, coffee, and notes of encouragement. He even thanked the residents who allowed them to put up posters and the young boys who searched the trail every night on their bikes.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Dominick Bianchi's family and loved ones.
