In a candid chat, Neena Gupta revealed she doesn't dislike her ex-boyfriend, Vivian Richards, even after moving on from their relationship. Read on to know more!
Veteran actress, Neena Gupta is known for her unfiltered comments and strong personality. The actress has always lived her life on her own terms and is well-known for breaking stereotypes. For instance, when infidelity was a taboo in society, Neena raised her daughter, Masaba as a single mother. For the unversed, Masaba Gupta is the daughter of Neena and her ex-boyfriend-cum-cricketer, Vivian Richards. Despite facing huge societal judgements and criticisms for raising a kid out of wedlock, Neena remained firm on her decision.
Finally, Neena Gupta found the love of her life, Vivek Mehra in 2008 and tied the knot with him at the age of 50. For the unversed, Vivek is a Delhi-based Chartered Accountant. Since then, Neena has been living a merry life with her husband, Vivek and daughter, Masaba. Now, she opened up about her relationship with her ex-boyfriends.

In a recent chat with Bollywood Bubble, Neena Gupta opened up about her previous relationships. She mentioned that she doesn't dislike her ex-boyfriends even after moving on from her previous relationships. Citing her relationship with cricketer, Vivian Richards, she added that without loving, no one can have kids with someone. She said:
“I believe once you love somebody, how can you hate? You cannot live, you cannot be together. I don’t hate my ex-boyfriends. I don’t hate my ex-husband. Why should I hate? Agar koi mereko itna bura lagta hai toh mai bachcha usse paida karungi kyun? Mai pagal hun kya?”
Earlier, in an interview with the Indian Express, Masaba was asked about her feelings after having a child out of wedlock. To which, she said that even after being a modern woman, she still doesn't have the guts to have a love child. She mentioned that she had to deal with whispers and taunts around her for a long time. In her words:
"Accepting is one thing but what happens behind the scenes is something else. You would pass comments like that she slept with someone and had a baby. I read stories of so many single moms who have had kids out of wedlock. They do have to deal with whispers and people talking behind their backs. Nothing has changed with time. Being a modern woman, do I have the guts to have a baby out of wedlock? Never. I don't want to take that extra pressure, and put a child in that space."

In an old interview with Pinkvilla, Neena had revealed that if her husband, Vivek Mehra would not have been nice to Masaba, she would never have married him. The doting mother also mentioned that in any relationship, no matter for whom she feels love or lust, it would always be vital for her to notice if that person respects her daughter, Masaba, and vice-versa. Neena had shared:
"If my husband didn't like Masaba or if he was the kind who would never get along with her, I'd never get married to him. No matter how much I love or lust a man, I wouldn't have ever decided to be in a relationship with anyone if they had a problem with my daughter. It's very important that she likes who I'm with and vice versa."
