Nancy Pelosi's husband, Paul Pelosi, has been facing major heat from the law following the alleged hit-and-run. And now a report by TMZ has revealed that Paul might have to face major consequences for his actions. It is being alleged that the DMV may now decide whether he should still be on the road. A spokesperson for the Napa County Sheriff's Office, Henry Wofford spoke to the news outlet and revealed that a  deputy submitted a DMV recertification exam request after Paul's hit-and-run investigation.

According to the spokesperson, the move has been made following the incident. He shared that it typically leads to the DMV testing a driver's skills, knowledge of traffic laws, and vision before deciding whether they're still fit to drive. The news outlet further revealed that the referral wasn't made solely because Paul Pelosis is 86 years old, but because deputies believed a fresh evaluation was appropriate in the interest of public safety following the tragic crash.

During the investigation, something that really stood out to the investigators as troubling, was the fact that Paul Pelosis was completely sober at the time of the incident. Which means alcohol wasn't believed to be a factor in the accident. If the DMV ultimately requires Paul to take the test and he fails to complete the recertification process, his California driver's license could be revoked permanently. The Pelosis released a statement after the incident and was quoted as saying:
