Producer, Sandeep Singh tripped down memory lane and talked about his strained relationship with his once-BFF, Mouni Roy after his name got involved with Sushant Singh Rajput's case.
Mouni Roy is one of the famous faces of the television industry. The actress had won hearts with her stint in the series, Naagin. She also left everyone's jaw dropped with her performance in the movie, Brahmastra. Apart from that, she was seen in several other series. Talking about her professional front, Mouni was recently offered her once-BFF and producer Sandeep Singh's directorial debut, Safed, which she as well as Ankita Lokhande, refused. Now, Sandeep talked about the possible reason behind it while revealing how Mouni cut all the chords with him after his name got involved in a high-octane controversy.
In a recent interview with Times Now, Sandeep Singh talked about his strained friendship with Mouni Roy. Sandeep said that after his name got involved with Sushant Singh Rajput's demise case, it was Mouni Roy, who changed overnight. The producer further mentioned that his directorial debut, Safed, which went straight to Meera Chopra, was first offered to the two actresses, Mouni and Ankita Lokhnade. However, both of them said no to the same, probably for the same reason.

Going forward in the interview, Sandeep Singh mentioned that he was deeply hurt by Mouni's behaviour as they once used to be best buddies. Sharing more details about his and Mouni's friendship, Sandeep shared how they used to hang out together. The producer revealed how the actress would take him to other producers whenever she needed to meet them. Sandeep mentioned that when the case of Sushant Singh Rajput erupted, Mouni was the first one to unfollow him on social media. He had said:
"I’m deeply hurt by Mouni Roy. She was one of my best friends, she used to follow me on Instagram. We would hang out together and go for lunches and dinners. Whenever she wanted to meet a big filmmaker, I would go with her."
Talking more about Mouni Roy, Sandeep Singh stated that he had met Mouni's hubby, Suraj Nambiar, long before their wedding, but the actress didn't invite the producer to her wedding. Sandeep then stated that apart from everything, if anything goes wrong with the actress, he would be the one to back the actress.
Sandeep Singh had been leading the headlines as a producer of the movie, Swatantrya Veer Savarkar featuring Ankita Lokhande. However, talking about the same, in an old interview with India Today, Sandeep shared that during the first phase of his career, Ankita and Kangana Ranaut had encouraged him to be a director. He also added that Ankita hadn't taken any fee for her role in the movie, Swatantrya Veer Savarkar.

Sushant Singh Rajput was one of the most talented actors in the Hindi film industry. The actor proved his mettle in acting, leaving everyone's jaws dropped with his talents. Moreover, it was back in 2020 when the talented actor was found dead in his Bandra apartment, which broke everyone's hearts. However, the reason behind his demise is still undercovers, while the primary stages of investigations tagged it to be a 'suicide attempt due to depression'.
