Mouni Roy is one of the most-loved and celebrated actresses. Over the years, she has appeared in multiple Bollywood films like Gold, Made In China, Brahmastra: Part One: Shiva and more. In her personal life, she has been married to Suraj Nambiar since 2022; however, it looks like not everything is well between them and their married life. Well, it is worth mentioning that both Mouni and Suraj have unfollowed each other on Instagram.
A while ago, some eagle-eyed fans noticed that Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar unfollowed each other on Instagram. Soon after Bollywood Bubble shared the news on their Instagram handle, multiple users felt that the couple might be heading for a divorce. One user commented, "Bye bye time aa gya." Another user stated, Ye toh hona hi tha. Mouni seems to be oversmart." A third user wrote, "Even both of them deleted their picture." A fourth user questioned, "Are they getting divorced?"
Ever since, Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar unfollowed each other on Instagram, some users also noticed that they have also deleted their photos. However, it is worth mentioning there is no truth in this claim. According to Mouni Roy’s IG handle, she still has loved-dovey images with her husband, Suraj. But, there are no recent pictures of them. One of the most recent photos of them is from August 2024, in which they celebrated Vishu, which is the New Year of Malayalis. Their wedding photos are also still visible on their IG handle. As of now, neither Mouni nor Suraj has reacted to them unfollowing each other on IG.
For those who do not know, actress, Mouni Roy and businessman, Suraj Nambiar officially tied the knot in 2022, in an intimate wedding ceremony held in Goa. It was one of the most awaited weddings as the couple beautifully blended both Bengali and Malayali traditions. It is worth mentioning that before trying the knot, the two dated for a long time.
If reports are to be believed, Mouni and Suraj first crossed paths in around 2019, through mutual friends. Eventually, they became friends and fell in love. Their bond grew during COVID-19, as Mouni got time to spend with Suraj and his family. In the last four years, both Mouni and Suraj have fondly spoken about each other. Suraj once described his married life as healthy and peaceful.
In 2023, both Mouni and Suraj had a conversation with TOI, during which they candidly spoke about their relationship. When the couple was asked about relationships and marriages that fail to stand the test of time, Suraj explained, "It’s all about prioritising. One person can’t have all the qualities. So, you have to ask yourself what are the three qualities that you absolutely need in a partner and then find that person." Adding to him, Mouni Roy was quoted as saying:
"At the beginning of a relationship, you will never know if the person is right for you. All you can do is, give them a lot of love and respect. Also, give the person space, and like Suraj said, don’t have unnecessary expectations. If you treat your relationship with respect every single day, you will see it flourish, and the rest, of course, is destiny."
