Add BollywoodShaadis on GoogleRachael Ray is a well-known chef who has also made a name for herself as a TV personality. Recently, she sent a wave of concern among her fans after she shared a video on social media. They pointed out that she seemed “seemingly puffier”, leading them to not even recognise her at first glance. As she sparks health concerns, fans have become interested in knowing more about Rachael’s personal life, especially her husband, John M. Cusimano.
According to reports, Rachael’s Ray’s husband, John M. Cusimano, is a musician. He is a singer for the rock band, The Cringe. During an interview for The Rachael Ray Show's website, the longtime chef opened up about her husband. She revealed that apart from being a musician, John also works as an entertainment lawyer. She said:
"John is a musician. He wanted to go to Berklee College of Music and was accepted, and he's a terrific musician, and he plays 57 different instruments. But he went to law school because his parents told him cautiously that it's better to have a trade. He really is a master of keyboards, every stringed instrument; he's especially great with percussion."
During the same interview, John claimed that he used to practice as an entertainment lawyer in New York City, primarily in film. However, when he met Rachael, she became his sole client, and now he only works on their family business all the time. Rachael jokingly said that marrying an entertainment lawyer was one of the smartest things she had ever done as it “saved me a bundle.”
Speaking about how the couple met for the first time, Rachael and John reportedly crossed paths at a mutual friend’s birthday party in 2001. Rachael shared that since the first night they met, the duo have talked every single day. Additionally, they had to cross a crowded room at the party before they could begin talking. Recalling the time, John added:
"This person was a tall person, and she invited all of her ex-boyfriends and people she knew — and they were all tall. And as you can see, we're not all that tall. So I like to say we saw each other among a sea of knees."
After their relationship progressed, John and Rachael decided to tie the knot in 2005 at Castello di Velona in Tuscany. The TV personality claimed at the time that John was “a big surprise” for her. This is because he came into her life at a point when she thought she was not going to chase marriage. Rachael also thought that young men or women should not be pressured into marriage, and they should especially not marry someone whom they have to try hard for.
On July 9, 2026, Rachael Ray shared a clip on Instagram where she talked about her philosophy on seasoning. She revealed that the hand is “the original measuring spoon.” While speaking, she could be seen seasoning a tray of meat for what we presume would be a tasty meal for her.
However, instead of the food, fans seemed to be focused on something else entirely. In the post’s comments, they pointed out that she looked way different from how they remembered her. One user wrote, “I don't even recognise her.” Another blamed her puffy appearance on her measuring technique, writing, “Omg…she swelled up, too much salt…didn't measure correctly.” A third user penned, “I haven't seen her in so long. I'm genuinely wondering…is she okay?
A confused fan wrote, “What is going on here? Wellness check” Some users seemed to be convinced that it was not the former Food Network star and wrote, “Rachael Ray, is that really you?”
