Now, it seems like the couple has called it quits in real life as well. Yes, you read it right. According to reports, Natalie and Charlie have allegedly ended their 10-year relationship.
Charlie Heaton is a British actor and musician. He is well known for his role as 'Jonathan Byers' in the series, Stranger Things. He has also starred in films, including As You Are, Marrowbone, The New Mutants, No Future, and The Souvenir Part II. Before his acting career began, Charlie was a drummer and worked in several rock bands.
Natalie Dyer and Charlie Heaton first crossed paths on the set of the hit Netflix show, Stranger Things, in 2015. Soon after Natalie and Charlie’s chemistry on Stranger Things first came to light, fans were rooting for them to end up together, both on-screen and off-screen. In September 2016, Natalie appeared on Charlie’s Instagram for the first time. Back then, Charlie posted a snap from a trip to the island of Menorca with his friends, including Natalie.
In the same month, Charlie appeared on Natalie’s Instagram for the first time. Sharing a wholesome picture of Charlie with multiple birds resting on his shoulders, she wrote in the caption, "Wow, congrats @charlie.r.heaton on his new one-man show Stranger Wings!! Sure gonna miss you s2, but happy you're doing what you love." On October 29, 2016, Charlie and Natalie dressed up together for Halloween. Fans were overjoyed to see the on-screen couple spend time together, and immediately began speculating if they were an item.
The pair made their red carpet debut as a couple back in December 2017. On Natalie’s birthday in January 2018, Charlie penned a love-filled note for Natalie. Sharing a picture of the Stranger Things actress holding a piece of cake, Charlie wrote:
"Happy 21st birthday! @nattyiceofficial I hope it's a great one, and I'm stoked to be working on this new series with you. I think it's gonna be great. P.S - Not feeling too well, but I still wanna meet you at Piedmont Park tonight x."
Opening up about her relationship with Charlie, Natalie told Us Weekly back in 2018, "He's alright, I guess. He doesn't mess up our scenes too much! No, he's great. He's talented, like everybody in the cast. They're all super, just great to work with." Later, in a 2019 interview with V Man, Charlie mentioned how he and Natalie support each other through career obstacles on and off set. Charlie highlighted that as both he and Natalie belong to the same industry, they understand the pressures very well. In his words:
"Yeah, because there are times when you do get stressed. So to go home with someone you work with, and say, 'I think they hate me ... ' They'll say, 'No, they don't.' You can break the walls down with your partner. Because we work in the same industry and have had similar trajectories, we've gone through it together. They understand something that maybe no one else would. You go into high-pressure situations together, but you can share those insecurities or whatever they are."
According to the latest reports, Charlie and Natalie called it quits after 10 years. As of now, neither Charlie nor Natalie has confirmed their breakup. It is worth mentioning that this is not the first time the couple sparked split rumors. Back in 2018, tabloids reported that the pair had broken up. The recent breakup buzz first ignited when popular entertainment blog Deuxmoi dropped a report citing multiple sources claiming that Natalia and Charlie ended their relationship earlier this year, in 2026.
