Taylor Parker and Reagan Simmons-Hancock became close friends after the former was hired to help her with her wedding. Notably, Taylor was also present at Homer Hancock and Reagan’s house a day before the murder. Homer arrived at his house during the evening hours, and the entire family was ready to have dinner together. While Taylor was also invited to the occasion, no one tried to discuss anything about the reasons behind her arrival. However, Homer was well aware of the fact that his wife received a baby gift from Taylor.

Taylor and Reagan later had a conversation in the breakroom, and they even went to a room that was supposed to be Braxlynn’s nursery. Homer could hear the duo discussing the room, and Reagan asked for Taylor’s help with the decorations. Homer went to sleep, and he had no idea when Taylor left his house. The situation took a different turn the next day when Reagan texted Homer during the morning hours. But Homer realised that Reagan was talking in a different manner and she was possibly trying to speak to him about something.

The pair continued texting for some time, and while Homer’s last message to Reagan was “I love you,” Reagan did not reply to the text. An hour after the conversation ended, Homer tried calling Reagan multiple times after he received a Facebook message related to a puppy from Brittany. When Homer learned from Brittany that the garage door was not shut down, he started traveling to New Boston. Once he reached the place, Homer was informed that his wife had been murdered.

Homer Hancock was briefly seen in footage in the Netflix documentary

While the makers of the Netflix documentary did not approach Taylor Parker to speak on the show, Homer Hancock was also absent. However, a glimpse of Homer was seen in a footage in the documentary. The video was taken at Reagan Simmons Hancock’s funeral in October 2020. Homer was spotted breaking down while he went forward to pay his tribute. Since that time, Homer has maintained a private life away from the spotlight.

Although Taylor Parker was sentenced in 2022, Homer Hancock filed a lawsuit against her and her ex-boyfriend, Wade Griffin. Homer accused Taylor of being negligent by driving recklessly and erratically, which led to the death of his child. After Taylor stole the baby by cutting it out of her, she was stopped by the Texas DPS trooper as she was driving at a high speed. Homer’s lawsuit alleged that Taylor could not keep the baby safe as she did not have control over the vehicle and its speed.

Homer even accused Wade Griffin, stating that, despite knowing that his ex-girlfriend was lying for all this time, and she could not operate the vehicle properly, Wade allowed her to use it. The lawsuit was seeking damages for negligence from both sides. As of this writing, there have been no updates in the case.
