Morgan Reid started playing soccer and basketball when she was a student at Cardinal Gibbons High School. She had the opportunity to join the U.S. Soccer Youth National Team after being invited to the U.S. National Soccer Camp. She later played against St. Stephens High School and joined the Duke Blue Devils after enrolling at Duke University. The team managed to reach the semi-finals during the 2017 College Cup. PEOPLE stated that Morgan played 18 games as a freshman and 26 as a senior.
Morgan Reid joined the Duke Blue Devils in 2014 and played for them until 2017. She then played for Oak City United and North Carolina Courage in 2018. A year later, Morgan came to Orlando Pride in 2019. However, she suffered an injury and could not be a part of the 2020 season. Morgan was dealing with hip pain, and she shared the details of the same in an Instagram post in 2022. Reid posted a few snaps of herself from the field and wrote:
“I finally decided to share my injury journey over the last 2 years, and why I stepped away from the NWSL. My hope is that any athlete going through something similar will read my story and continue advocating for themselves.”
Morgan Reid and Grayson Allen’s first meeting dates back to 2014 when they attended Duke University. The duo shared a close friendship in the beginning. In 2022, Morgan told Whistle Sports in an interview that she and Allen kissed for the first time during their senior year. Grayson was also present during the conversation, and Morgan recalled the days at the university, telling Allen that she felt like he might have liked her.
Back in February 2022, Grayson Allen and Morgan Reid confirmed on Instagram that they were now engaged. The duo shared separate posts on their official handles. Morgan’s post featured snaps of the proposal, where Grayson was spotted going on his knee to pop the question. The pair exchanged vows in July 2022 at Nestldown in California. Allen and Reid shared a joint Instagram post, where they were seen posing with Teddy, a dog, whom they adopted in 2019.
Two years after their marriage, Morgan Reid and Grayson Allen confirmed on Instagram in July 2024 that they were expecting a child. The post featured Morgan flaunting her baby bump while posing with Grayson during their vacation. The duo had a daughter, named Emslie May, in October 2024. During an interview with the Arizona Republic, Grayson Allen said that he could not play a game against the Los Angeles Lakers so that he could be with Morgan at the time of Emslie’s birth.
