The duo first crossed paths in 2018, when they appeared as contestants on American Idol Season 16. The couple has been happily married for six years now. Cade Foehner is a singer-songwriter and musician. He rose to fame with the singing competition TV series, American Idol Season 16. Since then, he has released his own music, including Breathe Out, Southern Hallelujah, Baby, Let’s Do This and more. Currently, he has 299k followers on his Instagram handle.
In March 2019, Gabby and Cade announced their engagement. It is noteworthy to mention that the couple exchanged rings within one year of their first meeting. Sharing details about their engagement, Cade told People in 2019, he had been thinking of proposing Gabby as it was getting harder to stay apart. He was quoted as saying:
"I've been thinking about proposing for quite a while. It's getting harder and harder to be apart. Doing all the travelling we have to do, sometimes we have to go a month without seeing each other. That's a little much for me, so I decided to go ahead and do this thing!"
Gabby and Cade tied the knot on October 5, 2019, in Garrison, Texas. It was an intimate wedding ceremony with 100 guests in attendance. They also wrote their own vows and made their marriage more special. Ahead of her big day, Gabby spoke to People and shared her marriage plans. She was quoted as saying:
"We wanted a small, intimate wedding with close friends and family. We're both excited to make such a serious and holy commitment before the Lord, with our friends and family there to support us and celebrate. Becoming one family has been the thing we've looked forward to most."
Gabby Barrett and Cade Foehner are parents to three beautiful chilren. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, Baylah May, on January 18, 2021. A year later, on October 27, 2022, the duo was blessed with their second kid, a son named Augustine Boone Foehner. The two welcomed their third child, a little angel named Ivy Josephine, on February 17, 2024.
Ahead of the release of Gabby’s debut album, Goldmine, she told People how her husband, Cade, became an inspiration behind her creation. She shared that getting married and being in love changed her way of writing songs. She was quoted as saying:
"I think being married and in love and all of that changed how I write songs and what I want to sing about and the type of songs that I like. So I think this album was very much made up of songs that you'll see a lot more of in the future — things about my life now and what I've been going through."
