Born in 1988, Emily Head is the eldest daughter of Anthony Head. While she has been working on films and TV shows since 2005, she is well-known for her performance as 'Rebecca White' in the ITV soap opera, Emmerdale. Emily played the role in 280 episodes of the show. The character was 'Lawrence White’s' daughter and 'Ross Barton’s' ex-girlfriend. Notably, she lost her father and half-sister, 'Chrissie,' in a car accident, following which she also suffered a brain injury.
Emily’s acting career started with Trial & Retribution: The Lovers in 2005. She then appeared in two more shows, Doc Martin and The Invisibles. She was later cast as 'Carli D’Amato' in The Inbetweeners. Emily also has a few films to her credit, including My Piece of the Pie and William & Catherine: A Royal Romance. She has written a play titled The System, which created headlines for its live streaming on stage with a single camera in 2021. Emily even opened up about the play in an interview and said:
“The System is a one-person play, in which a group of characters are being interviewed about the murder of a man they all know. As the 10 characters fill in the gaps left by the others, we’re able to piece together the story of who the man was, what happened to him, and what part he played in the murder suspects becoming who they are today.”
Daisy Head also started her career on television, playing 'Kate Barber' in a few episodes of Feather Boy in 2004. She continued appearing in other TV shows and made her film debut with The Last Seven in 2010. Daisy has portrayed 'Alexia' in Underworld: Blood Wars, released in 2016. She has been a part of other films like Wrong Turn and Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. Daisy also appeared as 'Genya Safin' in the Netflix series, Shadow and Bone.
Back in 2023, Daisy Head opened up about the fantasy world she would like to live in. This was in response to a question addressing her frequent appearances in fantasy projects. Daisy also recalled the time she spent with her family members, including the initial years on the film sets, and said:
“My whole family is incredibly creative, so I am incredibly grateful for that natural disposition in myself being recognised, nurtured and supported from the outset. Spending a large part of my formative years on sets, surrounded by such talent across all the departments, opened my eyes up to the myriad possibilities of creating different worlds and being able to immerse yourself within them.”
Apart from Shadow and Bone, Daisy Head has been featured in many other shows, including The Proxy, The Syndicate, Guilt, Girlfriends, The Sandman, and The Gray House.
