The ex-couple met in 2015, and two years later, in 2017, they got engaged. In 2019, Elle and Matt got married. They eventually welcomed two kids into their lives. However, things started to collapse, and they separated towards the end of 2025.
It was in August 2026 that Matt Bellamy filed for divorce from Elle Evans, citing 'irreconcilable differences', and he also sought custody of his two children. Elle further revealed that she has decided to fight for custody of her children, adding that the divorce was “a long time coming” after an “unbearable” marriage.
Just two months after the same, Matt Bellamy debuted his new romance on social media. Taking to Instagram, Matt shared a series of photos, and in one of the glimpses, he was seen passionately kissing Anne Marie Morin, his new love.
Matt, in the snaps, was seen at the Chicago-based cookie company, Cloud Cookie, which was founded by Morin in 2020. While most of the photos showed him enjoying his 'part-time job' at the store, his loved-up photo with the founder grabbed significant attention. While some remained in awe and showered the newbie couple with love, others didn't shy away from roasting Matt.
One user penned, "Oh damn that was quick", another user wrote, "holy s–t Matt works fast.” While this seemed to be a hard launch of Matt and Morin's romance, there had been soft hints beforehand. It was on October 13, 2026, when Morin took to her social media handle and shared a photo where she could be seen keeping her legs on someone's lap. While she didn't tag Matt in the post, he had liked the post.
Morin also shared a series of photos with a group of friends, and Bellamy was tagged. Apart from that, Morin also attended Muse's Hollywood Bowl concert back in September 2026. Nothing about the couple's relationship could be known in detail; however, with the Muse frontman hard-launching his new romance just within two months of filing for divorce from his estranged wife, Matt ended up sparking a conversation.
Anne Marie Morin is an influencer and entrepreneur who was born in January 1992. She studied at Grand Valley State University, where she earned a degree in broadcasting and communications. If the reports are to be believed, she also worked as a model and a host. Morin initially gained attention on social media with lifestyle content.
However, in 2020, she broke through with her shop, Cloud Cookie, a cookie shop in Chicago’s Wrigleyville neighbourhood. The Cloud Cookie from that shop went viral on social media, and since then the shop has gained attention. During Lockdown, Morin relied on baking, and the Cloud Cookie idea was born. She shared:
"To survive pandemic life, Morin exercised by day and baked with — and for — loved ones by night. Coming up with some cute little cookie ideas and sharing them with the people I was quarantining with was kind of what was getting me through every day. And they were loving that. Everybody was loving the cookies, so that’s where Cloud Cookie was born.”
