After All The 'Tamasha', Mandana Karimi Withdraws The Domestic Violence Case Against Husband

This diva is currently in news for her infamous split with her husband only after five months of their marriage! Yes, we are talking about Bigg Boss fame, Mandana Karimi and her estranged husband Gaurav Gupta.

For the uninitiated, Mandana tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend, Gaurav Gupta with much pomp and show on January 25, 2017, but their marriage fizzled out too soon!

The couple decided to part ways after only five months of their marriage and also washed their dirty linen in public. Mandana also filed a domestic violence case against her husband and in-laws in the Andheri Court.

She claimed that her mother-in-law and husband tortured her and threw her out of the house and also forced her to change her religion. Then, the news came that she could not stand her soon-to-be devrani, actress Smriti Khanna (Read Here) and didn’t want her to enter their house.

But, here is another twist in the story. After all the tamasha about domestic violence and her husband not answering her calls, she has withdrawn the complaint, leaving everyone shocked!

Reportedly, Mandana has withdrawn the complaint against her husband and in-laws, stating:

“I intend to save my marriage and am not desirous of any monetary gains from my in-laws”.

While withdrawing her complaint, she also mentioned that Gaurav had asked her to withdraw the complaint and then only they will have a one-on-one discussion about the whole issue.

A report published in Mumbai Mirror says that Mandana wants to reconcile with her husband and wants her personal belongings including her dog back. The report also said:

“The complainant wishes to withdraw the complaint without prejudice to her rights and contentions so as to salvage her marriage.”

On the other hand, an agitated Gaurav, in his defence said:

“I don’t have any of her personal belongings and she could take her dog, provided the service apartment where she is now staying allows her to keep a pet and does not start claiming expenses for the dog.”

And Mandana responded:

“I am not doing this to clarify my position or justify certain steps I was compelled to take to protect myself physically and emotionally. I never intended to, in the past, nor at any point in the future, get into a union with Gaurav for monetary gains. That he, of all people, should misinterpret my intentions, a man I intended to spend the rest of my life with and start a family with would stoop so low as to stand against me instead of with me, is equally devastating.”
