Mahhi Vij and Jay Bhanushali had secretly gotten married in the year 2011. The couple had embraced parenthood for the first time by adopting their caretakers’ kids, Khushi and Rajveer, and had decided to fund their education. However, it was after a long wait that the couple was blessed with a little angel, Tara Jay Bhanushali on August 21, 2019. Tara has officially become the aankho ka tara of her parents as they do everything to make her the happiest. On June 21, 2020, Jay had flaunted a ponytail just like his baby girl, Tara. The official Instagram page of Tara had shared glimpses of Jay and Tara’s first Father's Day celebration. A picture was posted on Tara's IG handle, wherein, we could see the daddy and his daughter looking adorable in a fountain ponytail and it was captioned as "Happy Father’s Day papa @ijaybhanushali I love you." To make their kids happy in this hot scorching summer, Jay and Mahhi had organized a pool party for their kids. On May 7, 2020, Mahhi had shared glimpses of her kids' pool party. The actress had taken to her Instagram handle and had shared stories of how the entire family had enjoyed in the pool. We loved how happy Khushi and Rajveer were while splashing in the pool. In a chat for Love Talkies, Jay and Mahhi had opened up about parenthood. Jay has talked about the time Mahhi was expecting their first child together and had stated, "Life has changed a lot. I have started respecting Mahhi more, I miss her more when she is not around. I have started caring more, earlier maybe I didn't but now after seeing her struggle so much with the pregnancy, I have a newfound respect for women." Mahhi had also stated her and Jay's reaction when they got to know about the pregnancy. She had revealed, "I started crying. He couldn't believe it. It took time to sink in." She had also revealed that she was too excited for the arrival of the baby and the expecting nine months were very easy for her. She had further retorted, "The nine months were very smooth for me because he was always there. I had become much calmer at that time. The one time he went to Mussorie for a shoot and I missed him a lot. I never had any temperament during that time. Men usually go out to party with friends but Jay did not go anywhere, he left everything for me. He gave his 100% in those 9 months and that really mattered for me. In the last nine years, he might have not given me so much importance but he covered it all in the last 9 months."
