The Love Story Of Bilateral Amputee And War Veteran Jesse And Kelly Cottle Will Melt Your Hearts

We have heard that love knows no bounds, has no religion, and is totally blind. The only thing love knows is the true connection of two souls. Well, this couple beautifully proved what we have always heard! Jesse and Kelly Cottle met under unusual circumstances, fell in love, and got married. And, their love is very much visible in all their photographs.

Jesse, a 28-year old Marine, tragically ended up losing both of his legs when he stepped on an IED (improvised explosive device) in 2009, when he was stationed in Afghanistan.

When he thought he had lost everything, it was time for him to actually get a big surprise from his life. During his recovery sessions, he happened to meet Kelly, the love of his life at a swim meet in San Diego. Jesse was quoted in an interview:

“If I wouldn’t have stepped on the IED I don’t think I would have met her. I wouldn’t take it back ever.”

A picture taken at a family vacation, celebrating their first anniversary suddenly went viral for all the right reasons. As Kelly says:

“It's cool because we represent a lot of people, couples that are going through the same thing and so it's just an honour to be able to represent that."

Jesse too shares the same feelings:

“This photo is a symbol of our relationship, she is physically carrying me, but there are times where she is carrying me emotionally. It’s a perfect representation of who Kelly is.”

When they got engaged, they did a cute photo shoot.

And almost a year after getting married, they did another shoot with the same photographer in their wedding attire. They did so because at the time of their wedding, Jesse could not wear his uniform during the shoot.
