JPMorgan and its executive director, Lorna Hajdini, dominated the headlines last month after a former employee, Chirayu Rana, filed a lawsuit against her. In his petition, Chirayu a.k.a John Doe alleged that Lorna has forced him to be her 'sex slave.' Earlier, this month, in May 2026, reports stated that Chirayu has hired renowned lawyer, Daniel Kaiser, who previously represented women linked to the Jeffrey Epstein case. According to the latest reports, Chirayu is now facing bigger troubles ahead of an important case hearing.

Chirayu Rana's lawyer, Daniel Kaiser, steps down ahead of an important case hearing involving him and Lorna Hajdini

On June 26, 2026, Chirayu Rana and his lawyer, Daniel Kaiser, were due to appear before the court related to the lawsuit filed against Lorna Hajdini. However, just hours before their court appearance, Daniel filed a consent to be discharged as the attorney for Chirayu Rana. According to a report by the New York Post, Daniel dropped his client just hours before an important court hearing.

It was quite shocking for Chirayu, as according to the document, he does not have a new lawyer lined up, and thus will be representing himself 'pro se' until he decides to find a new attorney. For the unversed, according to Legal Information Institute, pro se is a Latin term that means one's self. Since the case was first filed, Daniel Kaiser has repeatedly defended Rana’s claims. However, the reason behind Daniel’s sudden decision to step down as Chirayu’s attorney is still unknown.

According to that unnamed person, Lorna, in the middle of the night, woke him up and invited him to her bedroom. At the time, she was allegedly naked and intoxicated. A few witnesses allegedly saw Lorna and Chirayu kissing in public. However, Lorna has denied the claims made by Chirayu. Her lawyer said:

"Lorna categorically denies the allegations. She never engaged in any inappropriate conduct with this individual of any kind and has never even been to the location where the alleged sexual assault supposedly took place."
