Lexie Levin is officially no longer a member of the upcoming girl group, SAINT SATINE. On July 13, 2026 (ET), the labels collectively known as HxG made a joint statement announcing her departure from the group. In an X statement, they said, "Following extensive and thoughtful discussions with Lexie regarding the group's future activities, both parties have mutually agreed to part ways". They further confirmed that Lexie wouldn't be an independent artist under their label either.
According to reports, HYBE x Geffen's new group, SAINT SATINE, will still make its debut as scheduled. It originally featured three former competitors from The Debut: Dream Academy, where KATSEYE was also famously formed, including Lexie, Emily Kelavos, and Samara Siqueira. The fourth member, Tobi Sakura, was selected via the competition show, World Scout: The Final Piece and picked in May 2026.
Lexie Levin hails from Stockholm and became a fan favourite during her stint on the original Dream Academy. The 21-year-old made waves not just for her vocal prowess, but for her courageous decision to prioritise her well-being. After competing through the Autumn of 2023, Lexie famously chose to withdraw from the program, citing a mismatch between the high-pressure survival environment and her personal mental health goals.
Lexie has also reacted to her exit from SAINT STAINE, stating that she originally believed the group was where she belonged and that she was looking forward to their collaboration. She asserted that while she was grateful for the opportunity, it was the right decision for her to part ways. In the note, Lexie said:
"I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunities they've given me and the lessons I've learned from them. But now we have reached a mutual decision that it is the right time for us to move forward separately. While it feels heavy-hearted, I have found peace in that some things in life aren't destined. I have nothing but respect and appreciation for the team, but we have different ways of operating, and that's okay!"
While Lexie didn't directly comment on the reason for her exit, she teased that her future might look different from what fans expected. Some reports have alleged that Lexie's decision stemmed from a desire to work behind the scenes rather than on stage as a performer. She wrote:
"Emily, Samara and Sakura are my forever sisters. We will always support each other and want the best for each and every one of us! I'm on my next adventure. My debut and future might look different than what you expected, but stay tuned! I'm not done yet."
SAINT SATINE was announced in August 2025, following their appearance on The Debut: Dream Academy. Lexie, Samara and Emily appeared as individuals on the show, but their chemistry won over the fans, leading the label to put them together as a group. The group was heavily called the next KATSEYE.
After the August 2025 announcement, the group continued their development under the temporary name Prelude. However, soon they were named SAINT SATINE. The group's identity is built on a duality of "SAINT", representing commanding musicality and charisma, and "SATINE", a nod to softness, refinement, and elegance.
