Khloe Kardashian Was Affected By Criticism Over Her Unrecognizable Look, 'Had 12 Face Transplants'

Khloé Kardashian is currently at the center of intense online scrutiny as her recent appearance sparked a hoard of fan theories. Notably, she had always been open about her cosmetic procedures, but also revealed that the public speculation exaggerating her plastic surgeries deeply bothered her.

Khloé Kardashian was 'bothered' by talks around her plastic surgeries

Khloé Kardashian is one of the most likable members of the Jenner-Kardashian clan. Like her sisters, she has not shied away from admitting she has had cosmetic work done on her face and body. She was often called "unrecognizable" as her before-and-after surgery pics resurfaced. Even though Khloé has been honest about the kinds of plastic surgeries she underwent, she previously admitted that it bothered her when people would criticize her looks.

Khloé would be particularly upset by the internet's exaggeration about her cosmetic procedures. During a Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast appearance, she recalled how people would make baseless comments saying she had gotten more work done than she had actually admitted to. She told host Amanda Hirsch that netizens would make "crazy" claims that Khloé Kardashian had undergone 12 face transplants. She shared that reading such things about herself would shock her. In her words:

"It did use to bother me when people were [saying] I've had 12 face transplants. I'm like, 'Oh, my God, I have?' I was like, 'That's crazy.'"

Khloé Kardashian's cosmetic surgeries over the years

In 2021, Khloé Kardashian revealed that she got a nose job in April 2019 to achieve sharper features. Talking about her rhinoplasty, she said that she regretted that she "didn't do it sooner." During her ABC Special appearance, she said, "My whole life I would say- I've always wanted my nose done, forever." Khloé's next cosmetic procedure was cheek fillers and Botox. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star got it done to repair her facial structure after getting a tumor removed.

In June 2025, Khloé Kardashian revealed that she gets "soft wave laser for skin tightening" using Softwave Therapy. In the same month, she also shared that she had "collagen baby threads" placed under her chin and neck. The company from where Khloé gets the treatment later explained that it "boosts your skin's collagen and elasticity for a subtle refresh with no downtime...They can be placed under the eyes, chin shadows, under the chin, neck and more!"

Additionally, Khloé gets salmon sperm facials, just like her sister, Kim Kardashian. It incorporates "salmon sperm", which is thought to have anti-aging benefits. Speaking about the same in one of the episodes of The Kardashians, Khloé said that the treatment is all about bringing moisture and elasticity to the face. However, she also shared that she draws the line when it comes to putting the DNA of other sea creatures in her face and said, "I'm never gonna do whale sperm."

Apart from all the cosmetic procedures, Khloé also revealed that her transformation happened due to a drastic weight loss of over 80 pounds. However, experts believe that Khloé has undergone many more surgeries than she has publicly confirmed. Her recent selfie posts in late August 2026 prompted netizens to share similar opinions; however, she hasn't responded to the speculation yet.
