When Kareena Kapoor was planning to settle down with Saif Ali Khan, many people had warned her against it as she was at the peak of her career. But the actress didn’t care about it as she was madly-in-love. After falling head-over-heels in love with one another, Saif and Kareena had tied the knot on October 16, 2012. The duo had welcomed their baby boy, Taimur Ali Khan on December 20, 2016.
Kareena Kapoor is quite active on social media and loves sharing pictures of her loved ones. A few hours ago, Kareena took to her IG handle and shared a throwback picture with her soulmate, Saif Ali Khan from one of the events. In the picture, Kareena looked gorgeous in a beige-coloured saree paired with red blouse and Saif looked dapper in a black suit. The lovely couple was seen holding hands and it was pure couple goals. Kareena captioned the picture as “My saif-haven” followed by heart emoticons.
In an interview with ET NOW, Kareena was asked what was that one thing that attracted her towards Saif and she took the decision to marry him. To which, Bebo had revealed that the moment she met Saif, she was certain that it was not just a casual relationship and there was much more to it. She had also retorted that it was Saif who has been supportive throughout their marriage and the one who taught her that there is more to life than movies. On October 16, 2020, the doting couple had completed eight years of marital bliss. To mark their eighth anniversary, Kareena Kapoor Khan had posted a cosy romantic picture with her hubby, Saif Ali Khan. Revealing the key to their happy married life, Kareena had written in her caption how their ‘happily ever after’ had started. Kareena had captioned her anniversary post as “Once upon a time there was a girl named Beboo and a boy named Saifu. They both loved sphagetti and wine... and lived happily ever after. Now you guys know the key to a happy marriage. On that note, happy anniversary SAKP... here’s to eternity and beyond.”
In a throwback interview with the Vogue magazine in 2013, Kareena had recalled how she had threatened her parents for a hush-hush wedding, away from the media glares. She had recalled telling them if they would not let them do it their way, then she and Saif would run away to London and would get married there without anybody. Elaborating on why the couple had chosen a registered marriage, she had stated, “Over the years of courtship and being together, we realized that there was no value left for anything. People just want to know what we’re eating, which designer I’m wearing, who we’ve invited. Saif and I decided that we wanted to keep the purest part of our relationship sacred.
