Kareena Kapoor regrets not completing her education

Kareena Kapoor Khan is a well-known actress, known for her bindas, no-regrets attitude. However, it seems the Jab We Met actress has some things she wishes she could have done differently. In a conversation with Hanuman Dass, Kareena opened up about her decision to drop out after Class 11 to pursue a career in films and explained how the experience has shaped the way she raises her sons.

For the unversed, Kareena Kapoor Khan is a mom of two sons, Taimur and Jeh, and while she never completed her schooling, she is very stern about her children receiving a proper, complete education. She admitted that people may have opinions about her decision, but she worked extremely hard to prove herself through her work. She was quoted as saying:

"I never finished my education, and that was something that kind of stayed with me. Even though I had the opportunity, I got into movies and didn't study any further after Class 11. I know a lot of people can make fun of that or say whatever they want, but I wanted to prove myself as an actor. That was something I wanted to do — to follow my heart."

While Kareena Kapoor has proved herself as one of Bollywood's biggest names, she does have some regrets about not finishing her education. She admitted, "Education is something I do regret not completing." And she doesn't want her children, Jeh and Taimur, to make the same decisions. She was quoted as saying:

"That's why I have pushed my boys to finish their education first and then follow their hearts. When UNICEF approached me about supporting young girls' education in India, I felt deeply about it because I had always carried that regret that I hadn't completed my own education."

She further talked about what interests her children and revealed that Taimur has a growing interest in sports. According to the Good Newz actress, he currently dreams of becoming either a cricketer or a footballer. She revealed that she and Saif Ali Khan do their best to support him, affirm his dreams, and guide him in the right direction. She was quoted as saying:

"I say, 'Yeah, of course, why not? If that's what you want to do,' He says, 'I want to play cricket or football on a global stage.' And I'm like, 'Yeah, then you have to make it happen.' We have to encourage him and push him in the right direction. Who knows, maybe he changes his mind later, and that's fine too. It's not like because we come from a film family or because we're actors, he has to become an actor."
