The ex-couple got married in 2012, and while their wedding was a rosy affair, it broke down in the most shocking way. Amid Jennifer's white wedding reports, her ex-husband's remark about their marriage falling apart resurfaces.
As per reports, Jennifer and Karan's marriage broke down due to their constant conflicts. While they were inseparable during the rosy phase of their marriage, there were rumours that Jennifer was insecure about Karan's growing closeness with Bipasha. Karan moved on from the difficult phase.
Later, in an interaction, Karan stated that some people should just remain friends and should not take their relationship to marriage. He also blamed himself and stated that he had a habit of rushing into things, but he was sure that he won't be repeating his mistakes in the future.
Those people who have known them as a couple would often reveal that they were inseparable. However, their fiery love story ended on a sour note when they announced their separation in 2014, just two years after their marriage. Over the years, Jennifer made sure never to speak ill of Karan Singh Grover, who got married to Bipasha Basu. Years later, Jennifer, in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, added that they had been friends for so long and were like fire every time they met.
She shared that they were just not ready to keep the relationship. Jennifer stated that it wasn't just Karan or her who was responsible for ending the relationship. Neither of them was ready to mend the marriage. She stated that they had been friends for so long, and it was just a matter of wrong timing. She revealed:
"I think both of us were not ready. It’s not just him (Karan Singh Grover), or it's not just me; both of us weren’t ready to take that step. We had been friends for so long. We were like a house on fire every time we met. But I think it was unfortunate timing, I guess."
In the same interview, Jennifer revealed that people told her that she was mad to marry at a young age. But she wanted to, and even if God had told her not to get married, she wouldn't have listened to him, as she felt it was the right thing to do back then. She said:
"Everyone was like, 'Are you mad? What are you doing?' Everyone said that, but at that point, even if God would have told me na that don't do it, I had been like no, but I want to. That's the thing, if I have to do something, I want to do something, I will do it, and that's what I wanted to do, and it felt right then."
After staying away from love and relationships, Jennifer is all set to get married to William Ishmael on July 16, 2026, in the UK. The celebration is going to be intimate, and it will be a white wedding.
