Karan Mehra and Nisha Rawal are putting blames on each other for quite some time now. The actor has now talked about Nisha physically abusing him and how he became suicidal.
Karan Mehra and Nisha Rawal’s married life used to look all happy until May 2021, when the rumours of troubles in their paradise had started hitting the headlines. It was on June 1, 2021, that all the rumours came true as Nisha had filed an FIR against Karan for hitting her and he was arrested by the police. It was after his bail that the mudslinging game began between Nisha and Karan and every other day begins with blames.

After his bail, Karan Mehra had stated that it was Nisha, who had banged her head and had mentioned that she is Bipolar. Later, holding a press conference, Nisha had said that Karan is having an extra-marital affair and the domestic violence has been going on for quite some time now. She had also accused Karan of taking away her jewellery and transferring her money into his account. Now, Karan has accused Nisha of physical abuse and shared that he had become suicidal after a point in time.
In a conversation with Bollywood Life, the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor, Karan Mehra accused his now estranged wife, Nisha Rawal of physical abuse and shared how she gets aggressive and starts breaking things. He said, “She (Nisha) has always been aggressive and in the beginning, she was physically abusive as well. Usko gussa aata hai toh woh haath paav chalaati hai, usko samajh mein nahi aata hai. She starts throwing and breaking things. I had thought it would get better, and it did to a certain extent, but phir woh activate hone laga." Karan also mentioned that things were bad in their relationship for the past four-five years and there was a point in his life when he had become suicidal. He added, “Things have been bad since the past four-five years and there came a point, when I became suicidal."
As Nisha had accused Karan of an extra-marital affair, according to the reports of the Hindustan Times, Karan had talked about Nisha’s allegations and had called them baseless. According to the report, Karan had denied cheating on Nisha and had shared that these accusations were bound to happen. He had said, “All these allegations are bound to come up and I will be linked with many people. These stories are baseless. I haven’t cheated on her and I am not having an extramarital affair.”

Amidst Karan and Nisha’s fight, everyone is concerned about their son, Kavish. In an interview with ANI, Karan had spoken about his worries for their son, Kavish Mehra because of the ongoing public fight between him and Nisha. Karan had raised his concern for his son’s safety and had said, “I feel my son is not safe with Nisha anymore. Earlier I happily decided to let Kavish live with Nisha but now I really don't know. I don't want my child to get affected. I am really worried about him. It's heartbreaking to see whatever is happening.”
Karan had further stated that he and Nisha had decided to part ways mutually for their son, Kavish. But the alimony that Nisha had quoted was very high and he could not agree to it, leading to the fights. In his words, “We were not happy living with each other so we decided to mutually separate from each other. I also thought it's better for our son nothing is more important than peace. But the alimony that she asked was quite high and I disagreed to pay that heavy amount to her. All this led to heated arguments and continuous fights.”
