On December 18, 2020, Kangana Ranaut took to her Twitter handle and shared a video of her brother, Aksht Ranaut's wife, Ritu making makki ki roti in her kitchen. In the video, Ritu looked gorgeous in her traditional attire as she was seen flipping the roti with her hands. The video has made Kangana emotional as it brought back the memories of her mother cooking the same delicacy during her childhood days. The actress hailed her bhabhi for being grounded and independent. Kangana's tweet can be read as "Awww just received an endearing video of my newly married Bhabhi, trying to make makki ki roti, she is a doctor hugely accomplished young independent woman yet she is so rooted, in this video she reminds me of my mom when she was young. For the uninitiated, Kangana Ranaut had taken the internet by storm, when she had revealed her outfit for her brother's wedding. The actress had posted a video, where she had looked stunning in her multi-coloured Gujarati bandhani lehenga by Anuradha Vakil, which had taken almost 14 months to be made. Talking about the wedding trousseau of the couple, the beautiful bride had donned a pastel pink lehenga with heavy golden work and had paired it with double dupatta. On the other side, the handsome groom, Aksht had perfectly contrasted her wedding ensemble to that of her bride by donning a sherwani in shades of pastel purple, having heavy golden work over it. For her brother, Aksht's pre-wedding functions, Kangana had gone for a simple, deep-neck brown cotton suit embellished with embroidery. She had paired it with a brown dupatta, kept her beautiful curls open and had opted for minimal makeup with nude shade lipstick, perfectly complementing her attire.
