Latest reports have now revealed that the split has turned into an intense legal battle, where Josh is seeking the custody of their three children. The new details were featured in the legal documents obtained recently by TMZ.
The filings have revealed that Josh wants to have the children with him since Kendra is allegedly attempting to turn the kids against him. Josh has claimed that Kendra is also not allowing him to help in co-parenting, and one of their daughters has also stated that she wants to stay with her father. On the other hand, Kendra has responded by saying that Josh reportedly has an alcohol addiction, due to which he lost various chances in terms of his career after appearing on The Voice.
Apart from that, Josh allegedly displayed violent behaviour in front of the children and was even driving while he was drunk with the kids inside the car. Kendra said that Josh is currently suitable for supervised visitation and wants the kids to stay with her so that she can offer a perfect home for the kids without the presence of alcohol or anything else.
Although, it remains unknown when they tied the knot, Josh Sanders and Kendra’s love story started during their childhood. The pair was living in North Carolina at that time and was five years old. The relationship slowly developed into a teenage romance. Notably, Josh stepped down from touring with rock bands to settle down with his wife and start a family.
The couple had four children, including a son and three daughters. However, they lost their son, Leelynd Thomas, after he was born. Leelynd was born premature at 23 and a half weeks in March 2020. Kendra’s water broke at 19 weeks, and after a long time of uncertainty with low fluid levels, Leelynd lived for about two-and-a-half hours after birth. Josh and Kendra have described that short time with their son as both devastating and sacred, shaping their faith and sense of purpose.
