In a recent interview, 'Dance Moms' alum, JoJo Siwa, opened up about her marriage plans with her boyfriend, Chris Hughes.
JoJo Siwa is one of the most renowned faces in reality TV. For those unaware, she was only 11 years old when she was first introduced on Dance Moms alongside her mother, Jessalynn Siwa. Appearing on two seasons of the show, JoJo quickly became a favourite with the viewers. However, now at 22 years old, it seems like that little girl everyone saw growing up is already thinking about her "wedding" with her boyfriend, Chris Hughes.
During the 2026 Snappy Awards Show, held in Santa Monica, California, on March 31, 2026, JoJo Siwa told People she had a little wedding "fever." This was after she witnessed her brother, Jayden Siwa's, recent nuptials. She said, “Of course, it gave me the wedding vibes.” She added that witnessing her brother's wedding has got her thinking about her future with her boyfriend, Chris Hughes, 33.
JoJo admitted that although their relationship is relatively new, their one-year anniversary was creeping up on them. So, while they were getting there, JoJo said they still had time. The Karma singer added, “And obviously, I think that marriage is, of course, in Chris' hands, and so when he feels the time is right, I'll be ready. Maybe. I'm just kidding.”
For those unaware, JoJo first met Chris when she was starting in season 24 of Celebrity Big Brother UK. She publicly confirmed her relationship last year, in June 2025, saying that it is “wild to think” that it has been nearly a year since she began dating the English TV presenter. JoJo claimed that since she started dating him, it has been the best year ever, and that it is only going to get better from there. When it came to the question of how the duo will mark their relationship milestone, the singer revealed they don't have plans yet, though they will celebrate it somehow. She hopes that they get to be together that day, but if not, they will still celebrate while being apart.
JoJo then went on to rave about her boyfriend to the publication, calling Chris, “my person.” She then gave insight into how he had recently planned a romantic surprise for her. The Boomerang singer recalled:
“He came to my show in Birmingham [in October 2025]. And he surprised me – I didn't know he was coming. This was really nice.”
For those unaware, this is not the first time that JoJo Siwa has teased a future engagement and wedding with her boyfriend, Chris Hughes. At the start of this year, in January 2026, the reality TV star posted a photo of herself as a bride on Snapchat. In the photo, JoJo appeared to be wearing a white lace dress and a veil. She topped it off with a jewelled headband, a shiny necklace, and earrings. On top of the image, she wrote, “Call me wife.”
In December 2025, JoJo and Chris also engaged in playful banter about a possible future engagement during a joint interview with The Sun's Fabulous Magazine. Chris said, "You always get people who get engaged [at] Christmas. You see it on Instagram, every year you're gonna see somebody who gets engaged. I kinda like the idea of it not being at a time where it could be expected.”
In response, JoJo jokingly asked him if he was going to keep her guessing. She followed it up with another question, asking, “But what if I got him a ring?” Chris then confessed that he would be rather “uncomfortable” if he were the one being proposed to, rather than the one to propose.
