The duo's adorable bond was so fiery that people started shipping them off-screen as well, with the tag #AbhiYa. The buzz about their rumored relationship started circulating on social media and eventually subsided.
In 2024, the duo clarified that there was nothing more than friendship between them. Well, it most recently happened that the couple's dating buzz got reignited again with a report by Telly Khazana claiming that the duo is all set to get engaged. Amid all these speculations being rife, Jiya Shankar now came up with a surprise post while reacting to the speculations.
A while ago, taking to her IG handle, Jiya Shankar dropped a photo, wherein she was seen in an embrace with a mystery guy. In the photo, the mystery guy was seen giving a peck on Jiya's forehead, as they posed near the Christmas tree. The photo was all things adorable, and there's no denying the fact that the actress soft-launched her beau on social media. Well, whether it was Abhishek or not, it couldn't be confirmed, as Jiya chose to use an emoticon to cover half of the guy's face. She also penned a caption, writing:
"Let's leave false rumours in 2025."
Such a post came just after speculation about Jiya's engagement to Abhishek Malhan began. While some have been wondering if it was Fukra Insaan, netizens claimed that in no way did the guy look like him. So, we will just have to wait a bit longer to see who the mystery guy is in Jiya's adorable post on the last day of the year!
On December 30, 2025, Telly Khazana reported that Abhishek Malhan and Jiya Shankar were dating and would soon make their relationship official. The report also suggested that Jiya Shankar and Abhishek Malhan are all set to get engaged soon. To note, neither Abhishek nor Jiya has announced their relationship on social media to date. Only Jiya posted, announcing her relationship, but whether the mystery guy is Abhishek remains unconfirmed.
In an Instagram post, Jiya Shankar dismissed rumors about her dating Abhishek Malhan. In the post, she clearly stated that she had no involvement with Fukra Insaan or his fan pages. She also added that she and Abhishek had only been friends, but that friendship no longer exists. An excerpt from Jiya Shankar's post could be read as:
"I always assumed them making this sort of stuff for views, or I’ve no idea if someone pays for this s***, but if the blame comes on me with nasty comments on my character & family, then hear it, panda gang, I’M SELF MADE, LOUD & PROUD! I’m because of ME and not because of anyone else. Way above these CHEAP STUNTS! So stay in your lane & keep my mother’s & my name out of your filthy mouths."
Jiya and Abhishek made it to the headlines with their romantic relationship when they were inside the Bigg Boss OTT 2 house. Well, Jiya back then also confessed during an interview that she might have had some sort of feelings for Fukra, but they were nothing more than friends with each other.
