Jelly Roll had reportedly made death threats just a few days before filing for divorce from his wife of 10 years, Bunnie Xo.
Renowned American singer-songwriter, Jelly Roll, is currently grabbing all the headlines, but it is not because of his music. For those unaware, according to the latest reports, he has filed for a divorce from his wife, Bunnie Xo. What is shocking is that he filed for a divorce after 10 years of marriage. Now, amid his divorce buzz, it is worth noting that the news comes just days after Jelly Roll was accused of making death threats.
It was in April 2026 that it was revealed Jelly Roll had allegedly made death threats against comedian, Nicole Arbour. According to Nicole, she had been dealing with “ongoing issues” involving the singer and those associated with him. Reportedly, Jelly Roll saw Nicole with a camera at a charity event on March 1, 2026. This is what led Jelly to claim that “he would kill her” if he ever saw Nicole with the camera.
Nicole Arbour reported the incident to the authorities and told them she had a video of the alleged incident. Later, when the deputies went through the footage, they identified Jelly Roll and another unnamed man in the clip. In fact, while reviewing the footage, the deputies also heard the comment that Nicole accused Jelly Roll of making. Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, however, said in a statement:
“As you're probably aware, there appears to be an ongoing online back-and-forth between the two. No charges have been filed, and there is no current investigation underway on the part of MNPD.”
Before the alleged incident took place, in December 2025, Nicole Arbour claimed that Jelly Roll wanted to apologise to her. However, she did not reveal the reason for the apology. Nicole took to Instagram at the time and further revealed that it felt strange that a lawyer representing Jelly Roll was allegedly “trying to get a weird joint statement from us that we're cool when you haven't apologised yet.” She also addressed Jelly and told him to message him to confirm that he really was the one who sent the lawyer.
Two months later, in February 2026, Nicole made another serious accusation against Jelly Roll, alleging that the country singer had offered her a “hush money deal.” Once again, she did not specify what the alleged payment was for. On February 14, 2026, she wrote on X (formerly Twitter):
"Hi @JellyRoll615 can I post that alleged hush money deal you allegedly sent over with an alleged threat that if I won't sign it, you'd allegedly sue me?? Really sucks that you couldn't be man enough to apologise for all the INSANE things you did, but here we are."
Later in that same month, Nicole posted a “proof bomb” of an alleged confidentiality agreement involving herself, Jelly Roll, and his wife, Bunnie Xo. She claimed that the agreement was sent to her on February 11, 2026, by the singer's lawyer. Adding screenshots of the alleged court documents on February 25, 2026, age wrote:
"This was sent to me Feb 11, 2026, by JellyRoll and Bunnie’s lawyer after a YEAR of them trying to weasel out of publicly apologising for the disgusting and horrific things they did to me, even tricking me (in my opinion) into signing a different version of this where I thought they agreed to posting a public apology."
According to court documents obtained by several media outlets, Jelly Roll had filed for divorce from his wife, Bunnie Xo, on May 18, 2026, in Williamson County, Tennessee. As of now, neither Jelly nor Bunnie have shared the reason for the split. However, sources close to the pair revealed that it was a mutual decision.
