We got another instance of the Kapoor sister’s bonding when a while back, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor were at a web series’ promotions when Shanaya Kapoor’s shoelaces were somehow unlaced. As soon as Janhvi and Khushi got to know of this, the former immediately bent down on her knees, while Khushi stood by as a support for Shanaya as Janhvi tied her shoelaces! And yet another instance of the beautiful Kapoor sister’s camaraderie was seen on March 17, 2019 at the Hello! India’s award function. Both the Kapoor sisters, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Janhvi Kapoor looked resplendent in their respective dresses and sharing an ‘oh-so-stylish’ picture, Sonam wrote, “With my date last night.. thank you @hellomagindia for our awards @janhvikapoor got for “best debut of the year” and I was given “trailblazer performer of the year” it’s so heartening to be rewarded for the things you believe in. @prathameshb84.” But it was Janhvi Kapoor’s caption (Comfy cuddles) and picture which made us go all ‘awww’ but you know what? The caption was someone else's idea and it was none other than Janhvi's cousin sister, Shanaya Kapoor! Both Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Shanaya Kapoor left heartfelt comments on Janhvi's picture. Amazing, right? Do you know, Janhvi Kapoor, in an interview with Cosmopolitan had revealed that sisters, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Rhea Kapoor are her go-to persons for any fashion related advice? This is what she had shared, “I keep sending them pictures of my looks, or if I’m at a shoot, I’ll get my hair and make-up approved by them." Speak about being there for each other in times of need and the Kapoor sisters will come to your mind as sheer exemplars. After Sridevi’s unfortunate demise on February 24, 2018, Sonam Kapoor took to Instagram and had shared a heartfelt note on behalf of the entire Kapoor clan. Her note could be read as, “The past few days have been trying times for us as a family. Today, particularly, has been one of the hardest. We laid to rest a beautiful soul who has gone too soon. She leaves behind a legacy that is unique. Her talent was undeniable, her beauty unmatched and her ability to connect with the audience was legendary. Sri had the same connect with her family as well.”
Sonam Kapoor’s post could be further read as, “The one thing that helped us all get through these last few days, was the amazing amount of love and support from everyone — be it her many colleagues, to her innumerable fans, her caring friends and loving family, from across the country and the world. This outpouring of love is the memory that we would like Khushi and Janhvi to have of their mother... a woman who was loved unquestionably by everyone. Let us all who loved Sri, envelope her two little ones, her life, as she often called them, with as much or more love than we gave Sri so that they can live their lives ahead with a little less ache in their hearts.”
Sonam Kapoor’s post concluded with, “Let us help them remember their mother fondly, with that beloved twinkle in her eyes, and help them build a life and be what Sri had dreamt for them. To the members of the media, we ask that you respect the privacy of the family and allow us the space to grieve.
