Add BollywoodShaadis on GoogleMargaret Qualley and Jack Antonoff were one of the most beloved couples. The duo were known for making several public appearances together and always looked happy in each other's presence. However, in a piece of unfortunate news, it seems that the duo are headed for a divorce. They were married for almost three years, which is why their separation news was even more of a shock. Well, amid all this, Jack’s interview, in which he claimed he loves being married, has surfaced.
Many might find it hard to believe, but Jack Antonoff was raving about his marriage just over a month before it was revealed that he and his wife, Margaret Qualley, had separated. It was during a May 22, 2026 appearance on the Today show that the topic of marriage came up when he was speaking with co-anchor, Craig Melvin.
At the time, Jack was asked if he was going to “any big weddings this summer,” seemingly referring to his longtime friend and collaborator, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding, which took place just a few days ago, on July 3, 2026. Soon, the conversation shifted to Jack asking Melvin about his marriage. When he revealed that he had been married for 15 years, the 42-year-old music producer replied, “Oh, great. How's it going? Is it gonna stick?”
Melvin answered in the affirmative to Jack’s question. Following this, he once again tried to get an answer out of Jack about if he would be going to any big weddings. While he did not mention Taylor Swift by name, he said, “Uhhh, I hope. Yeah, I hope so, man.” After being pressed further for details, Jack shook his head and added:
“Oh no, no, no, no. Umm, yeah. I love being married, man. I'm happy you love being too.”
Later, Jack joked and asked the host if they just had a moment and if their partners were going to see that. To this, Melvin responded by saying now they definitely will.
According to reports, Jack Antonoff and Margaret Qualley have separated just shy of their third wedding anniversary. A source revealed to People that the couple's relationship has become “rocky,” while another source claimed that the pair are “figuring things out.”
Even before the news of their separation broke, fans had already begun suspecting that something was amiss when they noticed that Jack attended Taylor and Travis’ wedding alongside his sister, Rachel Antonoff, instead of his wife. As per sources for Duexmoi, Margaret was spotted in upstate New York with a friend at the time of the ceremony. Sources close to the situation also revealed that while there were many factors that led to their split, Jack being allegedly difficult to live with was one of them.
Amid the divorce buzz, it seems that Margaret is already preparing for her single life as she quietly deleted the majority of pictures with Jack from her Instagram. This includes the pictures from their wedding in August 2023.
Reacting to the news of their split, a fan wrote, “I'm excited for her singledom, it's about to get messy.” Another wrote, “I always found them to be an odd pairing. I never saw any appeal in him.” A third user penned:
“I read Lena Dunham's book, and her post-breakup assessments (of both Jack Antonoff and Jenni Konner) are definitely extremely one-sided and should be taken that way. But I do get the impression that Antonoff is not a great partner - cold and not totally truthful or faithful. Lena said due to her self-esteem being so low, her criteria for a partner was basically anybody who was willing. Despite Margaret Qualley having the outward appearance of someone more confident, she dated Shia LaBeouf, so I would guess she's in the habit of choosing men who aren't great to her.”
