Sunita has been openly discussing the actor’s alleged affairs for a very long time and even in the show, she is dwelling on his alleged infidelity. In a recent episode, the star wife, made many other revelations about the actor’s extra-marital affairs.
Sunita was recently seen speaking to fellow contestant, Shreya Kalra and soon the conversation turned emotional for Sunita as she spoke about her and Govinda’s relationship. During the conversation, Sunita revealed feeling cheated in her marriage and revealed that infidelity has been a part of her life since her marriage.
She also pointed to Govinda’s stardom as something that left her with little say. When Shreya asked Sunita whether she is still hurt, the latter replied, 'It is fine, I live for my kids.’ However, the striking point in the conversation was when Shreya quipped whether Govinda was still being unfaithful towards Sunita, to which the star wife replied:
“Tum rok sakte ho kisi ko? Main sochti hi nahi hoon.”
Govinda and Sunita got married in 1987. They have been together for close to four decades. The couple have two children. Their daughter, Tina Ahuja is an actress. Their son, Yashvardhan Ahuja is all set for his Bollywood debut. In 2024, news of Sunita and Govinda’s split surfaced in the media after it was reported that Sunita filed for a divorce at the Bandra family court. She moved the case under Section 13 (1) (i), (ia), (ib) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, citing adultery, cruelty, and desertion as grounds.
Govinda was reportedly called by the court on May 25, 2025, and since June 2025, the couple has been undergoing court-mandated counselling. The same report also revealed that while Sunita Ahuja attended the court hearings, Govinda had been missing them.
However, soon Govinda’s manager, Shashi Sinha, in an interview with PTI, shared that the rumours of the couple’s divorce are old news that came out six to seven months back. Sunita had filed a divorce petition six to seven months ago; now everything is getting settled. Soon, the couple was seen celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi with each other.
In a vlog, Sunita interacted with Sambhavna Seth and talked about various aspects of her life. During one of their interaction, Sunita opened up about the rumours of Govinda’s affair and took a dig at struggling actresses looking for ‘sugar daddies’ to settle their lives.
Govinda and Sunita have been living in separate homes for 15 years. The actor lives alone in their bungalow, whereas his wife, Sunita, lives in a separate home with their children. She once spoke about the same in a YouTube vlog and said:
“Main aur Chi chi rehte aamne samne hai 15 saal se lekin aana jaana karte rehte hain voh ghar par. Maine bachpan se leke aapni puri zindagi de di usko, aaj bhi itna pyaar karti hun. Govinda acche logon ke saath uthta bethta nahi hai. Toh kya hai naa jaise main bolti hun, agar tum gande logon ke saath raoge toh vaise bann jaaoge.”
