Around seven years after their split, the former couple recently reunited at the Disney Upfront presentation on May 12, 2026. Notably, the pair confirmed their appearance in the upcoming 13th season of American Horror Story.

Although Emma Roberts and Evan Peters did not make their relationship official for a long time, the former was once taken into custody in 2013. Emma and Evan were in the Montreal hotel when the authorities were called to the spot. This happened after the anonymous person heard an argument allegedly happening between the duo inside the room.
While speaking to PEOPLE, an insider claimed that the pair had a dispute. Furthermore, Evans was reportedly injured in the nose. However, Emma was eventually released after Evan refused to charge her with anything. Sources for TMZ alleged that although the duo hit each other, Emma never bit Evan. Their representatives eventually responded to the matter in a joint statement, which reads:
“It was an unfortunate incident and misunderstanding. Ms. Roberts was released after questioning and the couple are working together to move past it.”

While their performances were praised by critics and audiences, the off-screen situation was reportedly a little different. According to The Things, the show’s cast allegedly had issues with the duo, specifically over their on-set arguments.

When the pair separated for the second time in 2016, Emma created headlines when she appeared with well-known filmmaker, Christopher Hines. Insiders even claimed that Emma and Evans’s relationship was toxic since there were certain occasions when they did not speak to each other for many days.

While speaking to Cosmopolitan in the same year, Emma said that she understood the fact that life is full of ups and downs, and she is trying to adjust herself in the middle. She said that she has already been through many highs and lows over the years, and it is hard to avoid the same in front of everyone. Emma continued by saying:
“It’s hard enough to be with someone by yourself, let alone with an audience. Growing up is hard. Sometimes it makes me said that I can’t have a private moment. Because of Twitter and Instagram, there’s a whole other element where everybody can comment on what you’re doing, and no one knows the real story. That’s hard. I know what’s true, and I know what happened in my own life, and so do the people that love me and who I love.”
