Add BollywoodShaadis on GoogleBrittany Clark was a 31-year-old hiker, who died after she was attacked by an alligator while hiking with her boyfriend. The weekend trip turned deadly for Brittany, who was swimming in the Florida river. As per reports, a 12-foot alligator attacked Brittany in the water and clenched its jaw onto her as she was just three feet deep in the water.
Brittany Clark was in just three feet of water when an alligator attacked her and ripped one arm off. She was with her boyfriend, Chance Allison, who did his best to fight off the beast. The man didn't care about his own life, and he bravely helped his girlfriend to get free of the alligator, but it clamped onto Brittany's other arm.
Without giving much thought, Chance instantly called 911. He was screaming on the shore that both of his girlfriend's arms had been severed. One of the witnesses revealed that Brittany was in horrible condition, as one of her arms was completely off and the other was barely attached to her. Another man called 911 and told the authorities that Brittany lost a lot of blood. The authorities revealed:
"They were hiking and they just stopped to swim. She was bitten on both of her arms. The boyfriend was the one that made the phone call. He was trying to get her from the alligator’s mouth, and on the way to the hospital she did pass away from her injuries."
After this horrific incident, wildlife officials euthanised and decapitated the alligator, keeping the head as evidence. It was extremely horrific to see Brittany go through such an ordeal. She loved outdoor adventures, and her social media profiles are full of her photos showing her enjoying the adventures of life. A medical examiner revealed:
"While they were swimming an alligator grabbed [Clark] by her arm and began the death roll. Her boyfriend Chance grabbed the alligator trying to get it to release her when it took them both underwater. Chance attempted to bring them both to shore when the alligator finally let go and CPR was started on shore by her boyfriend, and 911 was called."
After learning about the case, netizens shared their thoughts. One user wrote, "I can't imagine how helpless she must've felt. I can't think how horrendous it must have been for the boyfriend to do CPR on your partner's lifeless body." Another one commented, "I grew up here in Florida, and we swam in our neighbourhood lake ALL the time. Occasionally we knew about the presence of an alligator residing in the lake but it was somewhat rare. It didn’t stop us from swimming either. Maybe the 90s were just a different time, and we were all really stupid. Yeah, that’s probably it…"
Another one commented, "This is really sad. Alligators don’t go after healthy adults typically, and it’s easy to let your guard down even knowing they are potentially in basically every lake and river. And that the bf tried his best to save her… my condolences to him and her family. Makes me think of where I live now; a few hikers get killed by bison every year."
Brittany was a country girl with an eye for fashion. She worked as a dozer operator for years, and enjoyed hiking after her busy work life schedule. She also loved pets and was a firearm enthusiast and motorcyclist. Her IG feed was filled with photos of rifles, pistols and her motorcycle. In one of her Instagram posts, Brittany was adorning a vibrantly coloured outfit, and wrote:
"Physically I’m at work headbanging in my dozer, but mentally I never left tinker field."
