Heidi Klum, who is known to go all out with major Halloween looks every year, revealed why her husband Tom Kaulitz missed her party in 2026.

She transformed herself from a supermodel into a bloody human hand for the big day. While fans and insiders couldn't stop talking about her look and the party, Heidi's husband, Tom Kaulitz, was missing from her party. Still, the musician found a special way to include him in her look.
Heidi Klum explained that Tom was unable to attend her 25th annual Halloween party on October 31, 2026. He had to miss the event for the latest tour of his band, Tokio Hotel. They had a scheduled performance in Germany, which kept him away from the celebrations in New York. The supermodel spoke to Entertainment Tonight and confirmed that he would join him on tour.
In fact, Heidi revealed that although Tom was not beside her at the party, he was still a part of her Halloween look. He was referring to the rings she had included in her severed hand costume. In her words:
"But he couldn't be here today, so you know he's always with me."
Heidi also steals to include another personal tribute to Tom through a replica of the tattoo of his name on her ring finger. Her costume also included replicas of her engagement ring and wedding band. In this way, she was able to carry a little reminder of her husband throughout the evening.
For Halloween 2026, Heidi took her creativity to another level. She dressed up as an enormous, severed human hand. The Supermodel wore an eight-foot-tall costume featuring a gruesome wrist. It had exposed bones, dangling tendons, and bloodied details. Meanwhile, her actual eyes and mouth were positioned in the center of the palm, which created the illusion that her face was a part of the giant hand.
A special effects team used the scans of Heidi's left hand to recreate its palm lines, veins, and skin texture. The design also included long red nails and realistic versions of her jewelry. She revealed that she got the idea from her in 2025 when she thought about whether she could fit her body in the shape of her hand, using her arms and legs to make its fingers.
For those who don't know, the costume was designed by Oscar-nominated special effects artist Mike Marino. Its construction took four months; they planned it for over 12 months. Before the event, Heidi spent five to six hours getting ready on the night. Her team also used a modified backpack frame to support the massive structure. It made it possible for Heidi to move around.
The supermodel arrived at the Cathédrale restaurant in New York City in the back of a truck. The vehicle was covered with hazard signs. Eventually, when the back door opened, some helpers dressed in blood-splattered yellow hazmat suits helped her reach the red carpet.
Heidi Klum and Tom Kaulitz met at a friend's birthday party in Los Angeles in February 2018. Despite an age difference, they quickly connected over their German background and mutual interests. The pair made their relationship official when they attended the Cannes Film Festival in May that year. Things moved quickly, and Tom popped the question to Heidi on Christmas Eve.
Eventually, the couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in California on February 22, 2019. They later held a grand celebration aboard the yacht Christina O in Capri, Italy, in August 2019. Heidi also has four kids, Leni, Henry, Johan, and Lou, from her previous relationships.
