Add BollywoodShaadis on GoogleHalle Berry has been dominating headlines for all the wrong reasons. For the unversed, Halle was accused by her ex-husband, Oliver Martinez, of physically harming their 12-year-old son, Maceo. According to reports, Maceo called his father to pick him up from Berry’s home. Amid the legal dispute, Halle spent time with her son, Maceo, over the weekend. A few days back, on October 1, 2026, Martinez was granted a temporary restraining order by the court.
Amid Oliver Martinez’s temporary restraining order, Halle Berry spends time with her 12-year-old son, Maceo. An eyewitness told PEOPLE that Halle, with her fiancé, Van Hunt, visited trampoline park Sky Zone in Los Angeles on Sunday, October 4, 2026, with Maceo. The 60-year-old actress and her son were seen chatting before Maceo started playing indoor soccer while Halle and Hunt watched him.
Halle managed to keep a low profile as she was sitting with her back to the venue’s central area. At the time, a fan of Halle came to her for a selfie. According to the eyewitness, Halle politely turned the fan down. The eyewitness said:
"At one point a fan asked for a selfie, but she nicely turned him down, saying she was with her kid. She and Van mostly looked at their phones and chatted occasionally."
The eyewitness described Halle’s energy as 'pretty subdued'. The outing comes amid the turmoil in Berry’s family. Martinez’s temporary restraining order has restricted Halle’s parenting time to daytime visits ahead of an October 16, 2026, hearing. Berry is allowed to visit Maceo on Mondays and Tuesdays between 10 am and 8 pm, and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 8 pm.
Oliver has filed for sole custody and requested that the court prevent Halle from having contact with Maceo. However, the judge declined Martinez’s request. In his request, Oliver alleged that the actress physically abused their son, Maceo, by jumping on him, putting her hands around his neck and choking him during a September 26, 2026, incident.
Berry, through her attorney Marina Beck, has strongly denied the allegations levied upon her by Martinez. She called them 'entirely meritless and deliberately misleading'. According to Marina, Martinez has earlier made outrageous claims about Halle, so Berry is not surprised by his current actions. Marina clarified that although the actress is very upset and hurt by the situation, she will not let it stop her from doing what she believes is best for her son, Maceo.
Marina added that Berry wants to continue supporting, loving and protecting Maceo despite the ongoing legal dispute. Previously, California family law attorney Christopher C. Melcher told PEOPLE that the temporary restraining order is not a final determination on the allegations. He said:
"It’s just a, 'Hey, stay away, let’s just have a cooling-off… until we can have a hearing where findings could be made.'"
Halle Berry and Oliver Martinez tied the knot on July 13, 2013. Earlier, in April 2013, the duo announced that they were expecting a baby. In the same year, in October 2013, they welcomed their son, Maceo. However, after two years of marriage, the former couple called it quits. It was Berry who filed for divorce from Martinez, citing irreconcilable differences.
Fast forward to September 26, 2026, when Berry reportedly entered her son Maceo’s room while he was playing a virtual reality game. According to Martinez’s filing, Berry was furious and began pushing Maceo, after which the minor asked her to stop. She allegedly grabbed Maceo by the neck and started choking him.
