Gypsy Rose Blanchard talked about getting married to Ken Urker months before his death

Gypsy Rose has been making headlines ever since Ken Urker died on October 1, 2026. Amid the buzz around his sudden demise, TMZ has released an interview with Gypsy. According to the news outlet, the interview is from the TMZ Podcast. During the interview, Gypsy Rose Blanchard dove into her love life with Ken and revealed what a possible wedding could look like for them.

The interview took place months before Ken Urker's death and has since made headlines, especially after Ken's sister, Ashley, alleged that her brother had severed all ties with Gypsy Rose Blanchard before his death. The social media star sat down with Charlie Neff back in May 2026, and the two discussed marriage.

In the video, Charlie Neff asked Gypsy Rose Blanchard if she feels pressured to tie the knot with Ken Urker, especially since their love story is so widely followed. She noted that their love bloomed while Gypsy was in prison, then they parted ways, and Gypsy married Ryan Scott Anderson, only for them to divorce and her to rekindle her romance with Ken.

Reflecting on the same, Gypsy Rose Blanchard had said at the time that neither she nor Ken Urker ever pushed each other to get married. She revealed that while there's no pressure from them, sometimes the others wanted them to tie the knot as soon as possible. She added that she could see a future with Ken, but didn't deny the possibility that they could simply never get married. She was quoted as saying:

"I don't feel pressure from him; he doesn't feel pressure from me, so we don't pressure each other, but I feel the world does. I feel like the world is just asking that question nonstop, and it kinda sucks because what happens if we are one of those couples that, you know, we don't want to get married right away. We don't want to rush it."

"You know, essentially, our relationship does feel like a marriage. We are raising a child together; we live together. But there are lots of couples, even in Hollywood, that have been together 30+ years, and they are still not married."

Gypsy Rose Blanchard reflected on what she wanted her marriage to Ken Urker to look like

In the same conversation, Gypsy Rose Blanchard, when asked if she would ever consider simply eloping with Ken Urker, denied the possibility. She revealed that she would never have a quickie wedding and wanted a classic fairytale wedding. She further pointed out how her first marriage kicked off with a wedding next to a prison bathroom, and she had no plans to repeat such a ceremony. She was quoted as saying:

"I don't wanna have a quickie wedding; I want to have a big wedding. I want to have the poofy dress. I want to have the family there because it's like my first marriage. I got married in the visitation room by the bathroom of a prison. I'm not...I deserve my wedding."

While Gypsy Rose Blanchard and Ken Urker never got to have the wedding of their dreams, the interview has become a cruel reminder of how uncertain life can be. Ken was found dead in his Louisiana apartment on Thursday, October 1, 2026. Cops say they found drug paraphernalia and a brown powder substance in the apartment. An autopsy has been completed, and the results are pending.

While Gypsy referred to Ken as her "greatest love story" in an emotional tribute post on Friday, October 2, 2026, it appears the two were having some issues. Sources reported that they were taking time away from each other, though they stressed that the couple wasn't broken up or on a break.
