Actress, Gwyneth Paltrow recently revealed that she had lost a film due to the negative publicity of her divorce with Chris Martin.
Gwyneth Paltrow is a popular Oscar-winning actress, who is well-known for roles in films like Shakespeare in Love, Iron Man, Proof, Glee and more. She was recently seen in the film, Marty Supreme. For those who do not know, Gwyneth was previously married to Chris Martin. Well, during a recent interaction, the actress opened up about the setbacks she faced in her career after her split with Chris.
Gwyneth Paltrow recently sat down for a candid chat on Good Hang with Amy Poehler podcast. During the same, the actress revealed that she was about to do a film right after her divorce with Chris Martin. However, as their split gained negative publicity, the makers of the film decided to drop Gwyneth from the film. The Marty Supreme actress was quoted as saying:
"I was supposed to do a movie at one point and it was like right after the conscious uncoupling thing with Chris, and there was a lot of harsh stuff in the press. I think the distributor was like, this might be too hot to touch. That was great because I was getting a divorce and then I got fired off. So, it was so awesome."
For those who do not know, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin announced divorce almost a decade ago. During the same, the Iron Man actress had described the split as “consciously uncouple”. However, this phrase grabbed a lot of negative attention. Well, now after almost a decade, the actress opened up about the split and the negative publicity around it. Gwyneth Paltrow explained:
"Say you had had a really nasty divorce, or your parents had had a really nasty divorce. And then you hear this idea that like, it doesn't have to be done this way. I think the implicit learning is like, 'Oh, like, they're saying I did something wrong'. That makes sense to me, like, 'Oh no, is the inference that I mess someone up.' Like, that's not a nice thing to contemplate. So, I do understand why it was so personal for people."
In 2003, Gwyneth Paltrow tied the knot with musician, Chris Martin. The two were together for more than a decade. They two even welcomed two children- daughter, Apple and son, Moses. However, after facing issues in their marriage, Gwyneth and Chris announced separation in 2014. Their divorce was finalised in 2016. After a few years of their divorce, Gwyneth met Brad Falchuk on the set of the TV series, Glee. Gradually, their friendship blossomed into love. Reportedly, the two tied the knot in 2018. Over the years, the actress has often spoken very fondly about her husband, Brad.
