According to reports, he recently got married to the love of his life, Alicia Ruelas. For those unaware, Rory and Alicia had been in a relationship for over a decade. If you are curious to know about their wedding celebrations, we have got you covered.
It was on Saturday, July 11, 2026, that General Hospital star Rory Gibson and Alicia Ruelas tied the knot. The couple joked that it was a “long time coming” as they had been together for nearly 15 years. Speaking about their nuptials, the couple claimed that they were “truly just beautiful, heartfelt and very ‘us.’”
Rory and Alicia first exchanged their vows on the North Shore of Kauai, Hawaii, at Mele Makani. In the pictures from the ceremony, the duo can be seen standing on a huge lawn overlooking the ocean. It also featured local musician Pancho Graham strumming the guitar. Rory admitted that the place was absolutely gorgeous and everything they had ever dreamed of.
According to their interview, Rory and Alicia had approached wedding planning with a “go-with-the-flow” mindset. They wanted the ceremony to have relaxed and chill vibes. On the big day, they exchanged handwritten vows and custom rings. The ceremony was officiated by one of their closest friends, Kyle Cook. Gushing about his wife, the actor said:
“I admire how extraordinarily kind and joyous Alicia is. We live a truly happy life, and I feel unbelievably lucky to call her my partner.”
Alicia also raved back about her now-husband, sharing that she truly admires what a sweet and genuine man Rory is. She said that their life together is full of love and she wouldn't change a thing.
For the occasion, Rory had worn a suit from Ian Firestone at Beverly Hills’ Malibu Clothes. On the other hand, Alicia stunned in an Evie Young Bridal gown which could be worn in a couple of different ways. Her soft and subtle makeup was done by Cassidy Elise. Talking about her “perfect dress,” she said:
“After getting engaged in 2023, I originally got a dress that I absolutely loved, but after trying it back on after three years, it didn’t really feel like me anymore. I went wedding dress shopping again just to look, and I found the most perfect dress that felt so much more me. It felt mature, timeless, and elegant.”
While the duo’s Hawaii ceremony had only 25 guests in attendance, less than a week later, they held a larger “cool and vibey” celebration followed by a buffet dinner. Among the 150 guests at their larger wedding at El Cid on Sunset Boulevard in LA were many of Rory’s current and former co-stars. The actor said:
“We envisioned having an amazing vacation with our closest family and friends to celebrate our love in Hawaii, then coming back to L.A. and having a big fun celebration with our loved ones.”
Just like their wedding locations, the newlyweds now hope to travel to "some beautiful tropical place,” which must have plenty of good vibes as well as good drinks for their honeymoon. After this, the pair admitted that they don't really envision their future changing. They said, “We've been together for so long now, we don't imagine much will change. So we’re just excited to keep on living the wonderful life we're so blessed to have.”
